Android 21 was not even ten years old. Mentally speaking she was an adult with an adult body. The first ten years of her life were spent in the last remaining lab of Dr. Gero. She had been made by the same technology that had made Cell. Even though the cult of Majin Buu never arose thanks to the destruction of Androids 17 and 18, the nanobots of Dr. Gero had found the resting place of the slumbering demon known as Majin Buu.
Android 21 had grown up with a fierce hatred of the one called Goku, A man who had died thanks to an exotic heart disease. Since Goku was no longer living, Android 21 fell back to her original programming by getting more and more stronger.
Android 21 was supplied with clones of Goku and his allies to feed upon to make her stronger. Some of these clones had escaped from the vast underground laboratory that Android 21 had grown up in. These clones were far more weaker than their real counterparts. Each escaped clone had been dealt with by Trunks who was more than capable of defeating them by himself.
Android 21 had grown bored of being trapped in the laboratory so she had escaped and decided to feast on real people other than those unappetizing clones. Android 21 could turn people into candy and sweets or she could absorb people directly into her body.
Android 21 strolled down the ruined sidewalk. Her power level was low enough for her to remain undetected. Android 21 could sense Trunks and where he was; he was on the far end of town. She was all alone.
Android 21 came to a stop when she ran into some sort of an invisible wall. It was a shimmering...mass of air. The android stopped to test out the wall. She could move through it easily enough and she proceeded to do so. She was definitely at some sort of a threshold.
Android 21 emerged from the shimmering air to see a building that was clearly out of place. The building was a two-story wooden building made from large tree trunks. The wood was a dark, dark brown. There were numerous windows on the second floor while there were only two windows on the first floor. The roof of the building was a bright blue. The building had a huge chimney on it from which thick blue smoke spewed forth.
Android 21 studied the building for several long minutes before heading towards what looked like an entrance to the building. The entrance were huge double doors that had an carving of a dragon on it. The doorknobs of the double doors were the dragon's eyes.
A sign above the doors proclaimed "Lodge Tokayal. R.S. Tokayal, prop. All are welcomed here"
Android 21 walked to the huge double doors and opened them. The double doors led to a small lobby or antechamber. The lobby itself was deserted. The lobby had numerous paintings on the bare wooden walls. The floor of the lobby had a blue carpet with gold trimmings. There was one other doorway to the lobby.
The doorway that led out of the lobby had no doors: just a red curtain covered the doorway. Android 21 walked into the curtain and out of the lobby.
The curtained doorway led to an absolutely huge room that looked to be some sort of a dinning room. There were both tables and booths within the room as well as a raised stage. The room was dotted by fifteen immense wooden columns that had cravings of fairytale creatures on them.
The room was half-full with people sitting at the tables and booths. The whole place was decorated like something from medieval times. The room was lighted by lamps that were on every table.
On the far end of the room was a bar that ran the length of the wall. There were two stairways that led to the upper floor.
There was a lone singer on the stage. The singer looked to be a female demon judging by the copper skin and the small horns on her head. The demon had a mop of silvery hair. The female was dressed in bright clothing with a frilly coat.
On the opposite wall from the stage, a huge fireplace stood. The fireplace ran the length of the wall. The mantle of the fireplace had knickknacs on it as well as several potted plants. The plants looked totally alien to Android 21.
Android 21 was intrigued by this odd building. It looked to be a restaurant that had an medieval theme to it.
Android 21 walked towards the bar. She was receiving stares from some of the people in the room.
There was a bartender on the end of the bar that the android was approaching. The bartender was a bald man with eyes the color of storm clouds. Android 21 walked right up to the bar.
"What is this place?" asked Android 21 to the bartender.
It was impossible to tell the age of the bartender but he did looked to be on the young side. The bartender was in the act of cleaning a glass. The bartender studied Android 21 for a silent moment before speaking: "It's a bar"
"Looks to be more than that" said Android 21 looking around.
"Because it is more than what it appears" said a voice. Both Android 21 and the bartender looked at the source of the voice. A man with a wide-brimmed hat with a long red feather was standing somewhat near the stage. The man with the hat was dressed in elaborate clothing under a duster. The duster had a large blue badge on the chest. The badge looked to be a nametag for it read: "Traveler R.S. Tokayal"
R.S. Tokayal had red hair that peeked here and there under the hat he wore. At his waist he had a belt buckle of that of a howling wolf with a huge moon in the background. The man wore numerous rings on each finger save for the thumbs. He made a low whistle after studying Android 21 for a moment.
"Who're you?" asked Android 21.
The man with the hat slightly bowed. "I'm Traveler Ryan and this is my lodge"
The way he had said the word "traveler" made it sound like there should be a capital letter to it.
"Traveler? Lodge?" asked Android 21.
"Indeed" said Traveler Ryan.
"And what does that mean?" asked Android 21.
"I own this establishment" said Traveler Ryan.
"I don't understand" said Android 21.
"Simple enough to understand" replied Traveler Ryan, grinning.
"I mean I haven't seen such a place before" said Android 21.
Traveler Ryan nodded. "Don't feel that bad about it. Few people have heard about the Travelers. Even fewer ever find one of our lodges"
"Hmm" said Android 21 thoughtfully.
Traveler Ryan took a drink from a mug. "Are you here to eat?"
Android 21 smiled and lifted a hand. Pink energy surrounded Android 21's finger as she pointed at Traveler Ryan. The pink energy shot out from the finger....only to be directed at the fireplace.
"What?" asked Android 21.
Traveler Ryan blinked. "Violence isn't permitted here"
