Haruko could drive a person to drink. Naota would drink if he was old enough to. The crazy alien girl--mom--had tortured and tased him without mercy ever since she had met Naota. Yet, if Haruko left...it would be as if a part of Naota died. Naota didn't know why he felt like that when Haruko left for a day of two to get curry from Hawaii. He had serious doubts that she went to Hawaii. And that curry had came from New York--or so Haruko did. People in New York must breathe fire if they had curry like that.
"Okay, I'll stay the night at your house" said Naota. Ninamori looked pleased.
Ninamori's house was actually a sizable mansion right in the middle of Mabase. It had three stories and was easily the biggest house in Mabase. Naota had never been inside the mansion, he hadn't even met the mayor yet. But, being a mayor is a pretty tough job...when you're not having sexual relations with your secetary. Ninamori said that she didn't care if her parents got a divorce or not. It wasn't a big deal for her.
"So....what have you been up to?" asked Ninamori.
"Studying for that biology test" said Naota dryly. His biology book was in a million little pieces on the street next to his house, thanks to his mother. Naota shuddered at calling Haruko his mother..but he couldn't help thinking that Haruko was his mom now.
"Me too" said Ninamori. "I found Page 134 QUITE interesting"
Page 134? Naota had to search his memory to remember what was on that page. Chapter 2 of the book started on Page 100, he knew that. But what had been on that page that Ninamori would find interesting? Chapter 2 was all about human bio...
"I can't imagine a guy has THAT many sperm" said Ninamori.
Why was Ninamori talking about sperm?
"And I can't believe you just said that" said Naota.
"Oh..I'm VERY mature for my age" said Ninamori, as if that explained it all.
"Yeah...mature" said Naota. "you rigged all the votes in that play so I could be that stupid cat...do you call that mature?"
"The play wasn't stupid"
"Yeah it was"
"No it wasn't" said Ninamori.
"Whatever" said Naota.
