The rabbit was extremely fast which only made sense. The rabbit had powerful hind legs that could sprint over ground like a cheetah. The rabbit had no destination in mind because she didn't know this forested area.
In just twenty minutes, the rabbit made it an astonishing three miles away from where she had started. The rabbit came to a sizable pool of water perhaps half a mile wide. The rabbit paused, looked around with her twitching nose up in the air, and drank at the pool. Cool, refreshing water met the tongue of the rabbit and she greedily lapped up huge amounts of water. When the rabbit had her fill of water, she stood at her full height of fifteen feet tall and looked around once more.
The rabbit looked sharply in the direction of an apparent tear opening in the middle of the lake in midair. The tear was a fissure. A very recognizable tear to the rabbit. She had seen such a thing before; it looked nearly identical to the tear that she had escaped from that dark, terrible place. The eyes of the rabbit widened in horror.
"No! I will never return to that awful place!!" shouted the rabbit.
Without further ado, the rabbit ran off in a random direction. The rabbit didn't even notice that the tear wasn't reflected in the pool.
The rabbit made a good five miles. She glanced behind to see that nothing was chasing her. The rabbit sighed in relief as she slowed down and stopped. It took her a moment to realize that she had ran into a patch of what looked like watermelons. They certainly looked like watermelons.
The rabbit picked up a number of watermelons and swallowed them in one bite. The watermelons were very delicious. The rabbit ate four or five watermelons whole before biting the sixth one in half. The rabbit proceeded to eat out the red innards of the watermelons, while spitting out seeds.
The rabbit ate nearly two dozen watermelons until her hunger was satisfied. Her stomach had ballooned out with the number of watermelons within it.
The rabbit moved on in short order.
The rabbit made another five miles before something caught her attention. Voices from somewhere ahead. The rabbit had just entered a thick wooden area filled with trees.
"This place is just amazing!" proclaimed a feminine voice. Following that statement was a splash. There was evidently a pool of water up ahead.
The rabbit had to walk on its two feet due to the density of the trees surrounding the pool of water. The pool itself was perhaps half a mile in diameter. Quite a few people were swimming in the pool. There were four people swimming on the side nearest the rabbit and about six people on the other side of the pool. The rabbit studied the four people nearest her.
"Come on, Master Naofumi" said a woman with racoon ears on her head in the pool wearing a bikini. "the water is warm"
Racoon Ears was looking in the direction of a sullen-looking man with a shield on his arm. The man wore all green clothing. The man had been looking at what looked to be a thick leather bound book. The man didn't even glance up at the mention of his name.
"Haha!" said a arrogant-looking woman swimming somewhat close to Racoon Ears. "just as I suspected from the devil of the shield! Completely ignoring his supposed teammate"
The man with the shield scowled at the woman who had spoken and continued to read.
"That must be quite the interesting book that Naofumi is reading" said a man with blond hair. Blond Hair was sitting at the foot of a tree right in front of the rabbit. Next to the man was a sizable spear.
The rabbit looked more closely at the book in question. There was nothing really out of the ordinary about the book that the rabbit could see from her vantage point.
"Master Naofumi found that book in that tree house we were in earlier" said Raphtalia.
"It's a book of spells" replied Naofumi after a short pause.
The arrogant woman came out of the pool near Naofumi. The arrogant woman was a very beautiful woman that stirred a memory somewhere in the rabbit's mind.
"I knew somebody that looked just like her..." muttered the rabbit to herself.
The arrogant woman grabbed the book away from Naofumi rather rudely and examined the book herself. It took the woman a few moments to fully examine the book.
"There's something about the leather..." muttered the woman.
Naofumi didn't move from his spot; he only watched the arrogant woman examining the book with a vaguely amused look on his face.
The arrogant woman examined the book until she yelped, dropping the book on the ground and nearly jumped back about three feet. This earned the immediate attention of the man with the spear.
"What is it?" asked Motoyasu.
The skin of Princess Bitch had gone pale so much so that she resembled a ghost. All that she could do was sputter. "Th-th-that book is-is-is ma-ma-ma-made out of human skin!"
The rabbit gasped and easily leapt the twenty or so feet that was nearest to the book. The rabbit landed in the pool, causing a huge splash. The water from the splash covered Princess Bitch and the book.
"You musn't read from that book!" cried the rabbit, grabbing the book from the ground and tried to tear it apart. The book wouldn't tear apart no matter what the rabbit did to the book.
"What the..?!" cried Motoyasu who rushed to Princess Bitch to see if she was okay. "who...or what...are you?!"
The rabbit utterly ignored Motoyasu as she tried in vain to destroy the book frantically. After a few fruitless minutes of trying to destroy the book, the rabbit threw the book into the pool along with herself. The rabbit dived, vanishing from sight.
The rabbit swam and swam downwards with the book in hand. The rabbit reached the bottom of the pool and started to dig a deep hole. The hole was ten feet deep when the rabbit shoved the book into the sandy bottom. The rabbit then proceeded to bury the book. It took the rabbit a few moments to bury the book. Then, the rabbit swam upwards to exit the pool. The rabbit landed right next to Motoyasu who was comforting Bitch.
"What were you doing with a book like that?" asked Motoyasu to Naofumi.
Naofumi shrugged and turned to face the rabbit. "Why did you do that?"
"It was a bad book!" said the rabbit. "it could summon the dark ones here!"
"Why were you reading such a book?" asked Bitch in a shaky voice.
"Aren't I a villain in your eyes?" asked Naofumi. "it was exactly the kind of book a villain would read"
Bitch looked more closely at the rabbit and was instantly repulsed. "Are those... eyes on your ears?! Just who or what are you?"
"I've long forgotten my name" said the rabbit. "the more I try to recall it has been in vain"
The rabbit's stomach growled, despite all the food that was in it. She eyed the people around her with hunger in her eyes.
"I find myself quite hungry" said the rabbit. "so I call upon you all to fill my belly!"
The rabbit snatched up both Motoyasu and Bitch before they could even react. The rabbit shoved two of them into her mouth and swallowed them in short order. Naofumi had gotten a few feet away before the rabbit snatched him up as quick as lightning and downed him also.
"I've never tried human before" said the rabbit thoughtfully.
"Master Naofumi!" yelled Raphtalia climbing out of the pool.
"Come join him inside me!" said the rabbit gleefully, snatching up Raphtalia and swallowed her down.
"This is quite the turn, having a rabbit turn into a predator" said the rabbit who giggled and walked from the area.
The rabbit exited the forested area around the pool in search for more prey.
