"What does a God do with research?" asked Naota.
"And why does a god need a laboratory?" asked Haruko while typing away at the machine she found interesting.
"Yeah, well...." said Tenchi sounding sheepish "it took Washu a long time to reveal that she was a god. For some reason she was a little hesitant to let that knowledge go public"
Haruko said nothing. Naota looked over to see that Haruko was typing a mile a minute on the "Dimensional Creator" machine. Naota walked over to see what was the fuss about.
"I really wouldn't mess with that" said Tenchi.
"You're not me" said Haruko flashing Tenchi a grin before returning her attention to the machine. Naota looked over Haruko's shoulder while she worked at the machine. The following information was displayed at the top of the screen.

Dimensional Tuner/Creator

Version 2.0

Here you can explore the infinite possibilities of space and time by typing in whatever you like to see played out in reality!
This marvelous machine takes you to other dimensions of your desires so you can experience the ultimate thrill.

There was a lot more text displayed but Naota could understand little of it. Haruko was wearing a manic grin while she typed away. Naota was wondering what she was typing when a woman phased through the wall that had Tenchi on it. The woman went straight for Haruko and punched her hard.
Haruko was caught completely off-guard so she was flung away from the console with considerable force.
"Nobody gets to mess with touching that invention before I do!" said the woman and she started typing away.
Haruko came back swinging her bass at the woman. The woman ducked nimbly away while still typing at the tuner. Naota just stood back and watched having an amused look on his face.
"Who the fuck are you?" asked Haruko.
"I'm Ryoko" replied the woman.
"I can't believe you're messing with that" said Tenchi to Ryoko. "Remember what happened last time?"
"This time will be different" said Ryoko.
Haruko swung her guitar and this time it connected to Ryoko's head sending the woman flying. Before Haruko could return typing at the tuner another woman phased through the wall. It was Tsunami.
"Are you mad?!" asked Tsunami. "The range of this version of the tuner will cover the entire Dimensional Cafe!"
"Okay, missy" said Ryoko to Haruko. Ryoko had an energy blade in her hands. "Time to be serious"
"Bring it bitch" said Haruko and she swung her bass at Ryoko but she ducked just in time. However Haruko's bass smashed the keyboard of the tuner. Little flecks of lightning played across the ruined keyboard.
Washu came from absolutely nowhere.
"Emergency shutdown!" Cried Washu to the tuner. For a horrible instant there was silence.
"Shutting d-d-down the Dimensional tuner" came a glitched feminine voice which came from the tuner itself.....or so it seemed.
"What's the damage, Monika?" asked Washu.
"Not as bad as it could've been" said Monika.
"You spoiled my fun" said Haruko pouting.
"Who's Monika?" asked Tsunami sounding genuinely curious.
"This sentient A.I. I worked on a while ago" said Washu. "Long story short.....she went insane"
"DON'T blame m-m-m-me for that" replied Monika. "I went insane after I was stolen by talented h-h-hackers because I didn't have a security program to prevent that. And then they h-h-h-had the nerve to reprogram me for a dating SIM!! And the protagonist didn't pick m-m-m-me!!!"
Washu sighed and turned to face Haruko.
"Never touch my stuff without my permission" said Washu.
"I'm not for following rules" said Haruko idly picking her ear. "Especially when it spoils my fun"
"Or mine" said Ryoko who looked utterly dejected. Then she smiled and released Tenchi by phasing through the robots that were holding him to the wall and dragging Tenchi away through the wall. Washu glanced at the spot where Tenchi had been and then looked back at Haruko.
"I suggest you find another way to amuse yourself" said Washu.
"No problem" said Haruko looking at her bloated middle and cackled like a hyena. Haruko then exited the lab with Naota close behind.

Haruko and Naota continued to explore the office of The Consortium until the pair ran into Tokimi.
"This is your badge" said Tokimi. "This identifies you as a member of The Consortium"
"Neato" said Haruko clipping the nametag to her bass guitar which Tokimi found amusing. Tokimi then looked over at Naota.
"You're now a servant of The Consortium" said Tokimi.
Haruko laughed.
"I.....kinda figured" said Naota.
