Naruto sat contentedly on the floor of the barn, his powerfully churning stomach growing very gradually less distended. For a while, at first, he could feel Sakura squirming around in his belly, and her movements had excited him considerably. He laughed.
"Hehe, good riddance to that bastard!" he sniggered, preparing to stroll out of the barn and report the quote-unquote mysterious disappearance of his teammates.
Naruto whistled his favorite song as he walked. When he was halfway to the barn door, however, he felt his foot kick something. Then he heard a groan.
...No, scratch that. Two groans. And very familiar ones, at that.
Looking down, eyes wide in disbelief, Naruto saw the onyx and emerald eyes of his teammates, Sasuke and Sakura, staring up at him. They were naked, their hair looked unkempt, and their skin was a strangely raw pink, but they were very much intact.
And they were alive, too, judging by the sounds they'd made, and the way their mouths were working noiselessly (the two looking rather like a pair of fish gasping for air) as they stared up at him. Naruto almost would have thought he had dreamed the whole "eating them" thing up, if not for the recognition he saw in their eyes, and the evidence of their unique taste still lingering on his lips.
Then Sakura spoke up, and she sounded just as confused as Naruto felt.
"You... ate us...?" she said uncertainly, and Sasuke mirrored her sentiment.
Naruto blinked.
"Yeah," he said, shrugging half-heartedly. "I guess I did."
How do Sasuke and Sakura take this realization?
