"He's going to be my first mate and advisor" said Aisha to the major. Aisha just couldn't bring herself to force Jim into slavery. Sure, it sounded like it would be fun...but you don't do that to a friend who looks on you as a bigger sister. And Besides, Aisha can hand-pick her new crew and order them not to eat Jim on pain of death. A Terran has never served as a high-rank officer on a Ctarl-Ctarl ship ever. There was just one time where a Terran was a private because he had personally saved the captain of his ship. That Terran private lasted nearly five years before he was gobbled up by his new commanding officer. This all happened 2 years ago, and Aisha was determinded that Jim wouldn't end up as a snack for any Ctarl-Ctarl.
Major Popo looked surprised, but said nothing. Aisha was the new captain of the Orta Hone-Hone, and she could have a Terran officer if she wanted to. The Major looked over at Jim and grinned. Jim returned the grin.
"So be it" said Major Popo. "and for the rest of your crew?"
"I'll handle that tomorrow" said Aisha. "it's been a long day for me and Jim"
"Your captaincy of the Orta Hone-Hone starts next week" said Major Popo. "you have that long to get a new crew, or decide to keep the current crew on the ship"
Aisha and Jim walked out of the Major's office shortly after.

"I'M WHAT?!" asked Captain Gora Jorte-Jorte, the captain of the Orta Hone-Hone.
"You've been reassigned" said Major Popo. "starting next week, you are to take command of the homeworld's defense fleet"
"But that isn't a job for me" said Gora. "I'm the Emperor's cousin for God sake!"
"I don't care of you're the Emperor yourself" said Popo. "you are reassigned"
"So...who's replacing me...if I may ask?" asked Gora.
"Aisha Clan-Clan" said Popo.
"But she didn't follow her orders correctly" complained Gora. "she didn't kill Gene Starwind or Jim Hawking!"
"But she did locate the Galactic Leyline" said Popo. "even though it's gone now. That is more than enough to let her captain the Orta Hone-Hone again"
"But, sir!" protested Gora.
"STOP IT" snapped Popo. "you are being reassinged, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. You're dismissed"
Gora Jorte-Jorte growled softly and stalked from Popo's office, followed by a rather short Ctarl-Ctarl.
"Planetary defense isn't as bad as it sounds" offered the shorter Ctarl-Ctarl.
"Shut it, Asiah" said Gora. "I'm in no mood"

The attack of Sentiel III was a hard one, and left few alive after it was over. Gene Starwind, Suzuka, and Melfina were one of the few who survived the attack. Gene had no idea were Jim or Aisha were at the moment...but hoped they were still alive somewhere.
The attack was made by a man named Poijin Leostad, a member of the Kei Pirates. The Kei Pirates wouldn't normally do this, but they were loosing the war with the Ban Pirates, forcing them to move to Sentiel III to set up a bese camp. Everyone who had survived the attack was permitted to live, as long as they followed the new rules.
