Mutsumi turned around to look, but was too late. The beam had struck her at full force, knocking her back a little. She screamed as she felt tingling sensations all over her body, around her lips in particular.
Once the beam stopped, Naru ran over to Mutsumi. "Mutsumi?! Are you alright?!"
"Yeah, I think so...what was that?" she asked, getting up off the ground.
"I'm not sure. Let's go find out." Naru said, leading the way. Tracking where the beam came from, they found Su and her crazy machine.
"Hiya! Hows it goin?" Su said with a big smile. "I finally figured out my machine works! You just gotta hit it!" she said, going to demonstrate. Naru stopped her just in time.
"Su, what is this machine for?" Naru asked.
“This is my expando mouth and stomach with quicker eating actin thing a mabob.” Su replied. "It was for whenever I got a craving for watermelon. I could swallow and eat it whole."
"So that tingling...was my skin turning to some kind of rubber?!" Mutsumi cried. She pulled on the sides of her mouth, hoping they'd stay where they were...but they didn't! They stretched as far as she pulled them, and it didn't hurt her at all.
"I also programmed it to give you an everlasting hunger, that way you can eat as much as you want with your expandable body!" Su chimed.
"This isn't happening..." Mutsumi sighed.
"Don't worry, it doesn't sound like much has changed. I mean, you're not mutant or anything, right?" Naru said, trying to make this into a good situation.
"I guess...but now let's get something to eat. Su was right about that everlasting hunger deal." Mutsumi said, rubbing her stomach.
