Rei Ayanami was a unique being. She wasn't born in the traditional way. She was grown from the DNA of a human, Yui Ikari, and that of Lilith, an angel that would bring about the event known as the Third Impact. In essence, Rei was half-human and half-angel. Rei knew that it would be her destiny to merge with the body of Lilith and trigger Third Impact one day. Exactly when she would cause Third Impact was unknown to Rei. She had asked the head of NERV, Gendo Ikari, several times about when she was to trigger Third Impact. Gendo answered with "When the time is right" each time that Rei asked. Apparently they needed one more ingredient to trigger Third Impact but Rei was never told what that ingredient was.
The body of Lilith was somewhere in the depths of NERV. Rei had ever saw the body of Lilith since Gendo had forbidden her to go there without his permission and company. So Rei did nothing but battle angels and be a simple member of NERV. She had to wait until the appointed day to merge with Lilith and initiate Third Impact.
Because Rei had the DNA of Yui Ikari, she felt somewhat maternal towards Shinji Ikari. In a small way, Shinji was her son but not. It was complicated to be sure.
Being part angel also meant that Rei had abilities that regular humans did not have. For instance, Rei could open her mouth far more wider than any human can. Rei was sure that she could swallow down a human if she wanted. Rei was careful to hide her angel abilities from the general public. In fact she had only told Gendo about her abilities. Gendo had suggested that Rei should ignore these abilities because they weren't important to his plans with her. And so Rei did just that for a time. Until one day....
It had been a quiet day for the people of NERV. No angel came and attacked Tokyo-3. On those days without an angel attack there was no real reason for the EVA pilots to be at NERV. Unless it was for the routine medical examination that everyone at NERV had to go through at least once a year.
Rei exited the medical wing having finished her examination. Rei was wearing hospital scrubs as she entered the waiting room. The two other EVA pilots were in the waiting room as well as at least a dozen other members of NERV awaiting to take their examination.
"You're next" said Rei touching Asuka on the shoulder to get her attention. Asuka had been busy talking with Shinji.
"My turn already?" asked Asuka turning to face Rei. Rei nodded. Asuka rolled her eyes and cursed in German as she strolled down the hall that led to the examination rooms. Rei glanced at Shinji who had put his headphones back on. It was then when Rei had a strong urge to have Shinji inside her. Rei shook her head to clear such thoughts away. Now wasn't the time to indulge the feelings she had for Shinji.
Rei went and changed back into her clothes and plug suit just in case there was an angel attack.
Rei spent the rest of the day going over maintenance checks on her evangelion which was all kinds of boring. Rei still felt a strong urge to have Shinji pleasure her body in more ways than one. Rei didn't know if it was wrong to feel any sexual feelings towards Shinji or not. After all Rei wasn't Shinji's mother.......and yet....
Rei shook her head. No. She should focus on her duties. But those maternal and sexual instincts refused to go away completely.
