The Next Morning Tiny Way Of Life chapter 29 by copier · original author: matheson

Joyce wakes up to a loud knocking against the door. She squints as her headache stabs at her brain, "ugh, what the hell..." She stumbles out of bed and yawns while throwing on the nearest set of pajamas. Before she gets to the door, the visitor knocks again. This time more harshly than the last. "Yeah, yeah. I'm coming." She pulls open the door to see Angela in tears, holding a crying Jenny by the hand. "Joyce! Where are Steve and Jet!" The woman's hair is a mess. It takes Joyce a minute to process what is happening. "Oh, oh. Sorry, it's been a long night. Please, come in." Mandy opens her door to see what all the commotion is about and sees Jenny standing in the living room. "Jenny!", she cheers and runs into the living room. Her run slows to a stop when she senses the tension in the air. "What's going on, mommy?" "Don't worry Mandy, Angela's just here to pick up Jet and S-". Joyce suddenly gets a flashback to last night and realizes that Steve is still tucked away inside her ass.

She clears her throat. "Ahem! Sorry. Jet and Steve. Since Mandy wouldn't stop playing with Jet, I had to hide him in a cookie jar all night." Joyce leads Angela into the kitchen while Jenny sits, sulking, on the couch. Joyce reaches up and pulls down the cookie jar and hands it to Angela. "Jet's in here, I'll be right back." Joyce tries to hide her fear as she calmly strolls out of sight. Once around the corner, though, she dashes for the bathroom. 'I can't deal with this right now!', she thinks as her headache throbs while she removes her pajamas. As quickly as she can manage, she pushes Steve out, she then grabs his upper body and pulls the rest of him out. Pulling him around to look at him, she sees that he's still asleep. "Dammit! Wake up!", she says as she pokes him. No use. She then dumps him into the sink and turns on the faucet. "Wake up you lazy bum!" The water makes her realize that she'll have to clean him, too. She frantically scrubs him down while he slowly wakes up.

You were just having the nicest dream about being all wrapped up in a snuggly blanket when suddenly a waterfall hits you in the face. "Bleh! Ack!" you struggle not to drown as tan hands scrub you down. "Get off me, Mandy!" "Hey!" You recognize Joyce's voice instantly. "Your wife is here. I'm going to tell her you were sleeping in the bathroom, okay?" Before you have time to respond, she turns off the faucet and quickly rubs you down with a towel. You sit up slowly in her hand while trying to remember what the hell happened last night... You look up at Joyce who is sweating as she carries you out of the bathroom. "Shiiiiiit!", you slap your face as it comes back to you.

Joyce walks you out to the kitchen and exclaims, "here he is! He was sleeping in the bathroom, heehee!" You sigh to yourself as you listen to Joyce's unnatural tone. Angela is across the room, holding Jet in her hands. Mandy, down below is jumping up, trying to reach for him but failing. When Angela sees you, she cups Jet to her chest. "Steve... I'm- I'm so sorry. I had no idea." She tucks Jet into her bra and reaches for you. She opens her hands and you walk into them. "It's okay, you didn't know", you say, trying to reassure her. "Jenny said that Mandy was babysitting you two this morning and I asked her what I was talking about and... and..." She starts crying. Her legs are shaking. "Come on, let's sit down, okay? I'm fine." Angela nods and sits down on the couch in the living room while wiping the tears from her eyes. "It's okay", you tell her again.

You hear a door open and see Natalie coming out of her room. She's wearing headphones and doesn't even notice your whole family in the living room as she slinks into the kitchen. You hear the fridge open and close, then watch her begin to head back. Before she leaves the kitchen, however, she stops. Taking off her headphones and turns around to face Joyce. "Hey, by the way, mom. Could you keep it down next time you decide to fuck Mr. McMinor? Thanks." She then casually puts her earphones back in and mutters to herself as she turns the corner. Your eyes meet and she stops dead in her tracks when she sees the rest of your family staring at her. "Oh... shit", she says before running back into her room.

"What?..." Angela asks as she looks down at you. Tears start forming in her eyes again and suddenly you don't feel like you're in the safest of places anymore. "Angela...", you have no idea what you should be saying right now, but you are pretty sure it's something. "It's not exactly like that." "He and I just-", Joyce begins to talk but is cut off when Angela points a finger at her. "YOU DON'T TALK! wHaT dO yoU mEaN iT's noT liKe tHat, sTEVE?"

You can see Angela falling apart right in front of you. You have to set it all straight. Last night was a mistake. If you want your marriage to work, you're going to have to lay everything out. You sigh before you begin. "Last night, Joyce and I got drunk and we sorta well", you look up to see Angela's bug-eyes and almost piss yourself. You have the wince to finish, "we got drunk and ended up having sex. I'm so sorry Angela. It was-", you are thrown from Angela's hands as she lifts them to her face to cover her bawling. You get back on your feet and walk over to her. When you put your hand on her leg, she parts her fingers to see you touching her and jumps off the couch. "DON'T TOUCH ME!", she screams at you. "IF YOU WANTED OUT THEN YOU COULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING, WE COULD HAVE TRIED TO WORK THINGS OUT!" "Angela... It's not-" "NO! JENNY! COME HERE!", Angela grabs Jenny's hand roughly and nearly drags her out the door. "Mommy! It hurts!", Jenny shouts as they exit the front door. You jump down from the couch and arrive at the door just in time to see her car peel out of the driveway and head down the road.

You turn to look at Joyce, and she looks back. Neither of you saying anything...

-----A FEW MONTHS LATER-----

After that day, Angela wanted nothing to do with you. She wouldn't talk to you, respond to e-mails, text messages, or anything. The most correspondence she gave you was to throw all your shit out in front of you, which wasn't much more than a handful to her. She lawyered up rather quickly and gained custody of the kids. You fought her back but the best you could manage was to get visitation rights on the weekends. As if things weren't bad enough, she got in touch with Joyce's husband and gave him all the details (you're pretty sure she made some things up, too). He disappeared from Joyce's household, leaving Joyce with a black eye and a handful of kids to take care of. You felt bad for her and, instead of getting your own apartment, you decided to move in and help her out with the family. You didn't love her like Angela, but she was nice to you and you have to admit that you do like her.

Life is different now, to say the least. You still have the same job as before, but living with Joyce's family was an adjustment. Joyce has proven herself to be a good woman to have around. Needy, but good. Natalie felt responsible for ruining your family and opened up to you a couple weeks in. She still largely ignores you, but if you two were the only people in the house... she'd talk to you. Mandy still treats you like a toy. She still loves putting you in her mouth whenever she gets a chance. She's also gotten really good at gulping you down now, too. You can't stop her anymore. Joyce thinks it's adorable; you're still getting used to it. At least she behaves when you're rubbing her stomach from the inside.

C'est la vie.
