Tulip looks at Jenny, disappointed. "Jenny, can you take your brother out for me?" Jenny avoids Tulip's eyes, and shakes her head no. "He's busy right now." Tulip sighs. "Jenny, I need you to take him out right now. We need to have a little talk." Jenny huffs, but she reaches in and pulls out her little brother.
Tulip has the two kids sit up on the couch while she sits on the floor in front of them. She then starts her speech. "Jenny, I know that it might feel good for you, but Jet probably doesn't like it very much. You have to be careful how you treat him, you might end up hurting him... or worse."
Jenny waits until Tulip finishes, then disagrees. "But Aunt Tulip, Jet likes it." Tulip pauses, she knows that Jet is a bit timid. She tries to word her question carefully, "be honest, Jet. How does it feel when Jenny plays with you like she did earlier?" It takes him a moment to speak. "It's... not that bad... If she likes it, then I should try to like it too, right?"
Tulip isn't sure what to say. "What about when she swallowed you?" Jet looks up at Jenny, then back at Tulip. "It's scary," he explains, "...but I think I can get get used to it." Jenny turns to pick up her little brother and gives him a hug. "Aw, you're the best, Jet." Tulip watches as Jet does his best to hug her back.
'He's really sweet, but he should learn to stand up for himself', Tulip thinks. She does envy who much the two seem to like one another. She wishes her and Steve had that kind of relationship when they were younger. She wonders why they didn't.
Tulip isn't sure what else she can say to Jenny to convince her to take it easy on her brother. She looks over to Jenny, to tell her one last thing. "I just need you to remember, Jenny. If Jet ever gets into trouble, you need to be there to help him. That's what big sisters do." Jenny stares seriously at Tulip as she says this. "Do you understand?", Tulip asks. Jenny nods her head, "yes ma'am."
Tulip stands up and pats herself off. "Good! Let's go get some breakfast, eh?" She watches the kids nod happily.
What's Tulip's plan?
