"...anyway, that's what happened. That said, do you mind if I borrow your phone?" You finish, asking an amused-looking Tien.
"Of course." She answers easily, with a bit of a laugh. "But first, Sora dear, why don't you let me talk to Steve alone for a bit. Go clean your room, why don't you?"
"But I just did that today!" She objects, clearly not wanting to go. Tien frowns, and Sora hangs her head.
"I'll go do it again" Sora grumbles, reluctantly. "Please don't be mean to him!" She implores before hurrying away, catching you off-guard.
Tien watches her leave the room, seemingly also a bit surprised. "Well, that's sweet, isn't it?" She asks. You have to agree.
"So." Tien focuses her smiling eyes at you. "You two seem pretty close, huh?"
You hesitate. "We... get along" you answer, guarded. "But that's just kind of who she is, I think. She's a good kid. Really."
Tien nods. "Yes. She is," she agrees. She looks vaguely out into the hall, away from you. "It's not really like her to hide things from me. I have to say, I'm surprised."
Your blood runs cold. "What- what do you mean?" You ask, suddenly uncomfortable.
Tien turns to look back down at you. "Well, what I mean is, she left my camera in the bathroom. So I checked the pictures." Suddenly, her hand starts reaching out for you.
"Want to talk about it?" She asks, her tone gone suddenly...
