"I've been totally AWOL for a seriously long time now," you tell her. "So... I guess a few more days couldn't hurt, right? Why don't I just hang out here until your parents are home?"
Sora's face lights up when you say this. "Really!?" She exclaims, sounding hopeful. "You mean it?"
"Sure, why not?" You tell her, aiming for a tone of cheerful gruffness and mostly pulling it off correctly. "Besides, way this was going, you probably didn't have any quarters for the phone booth or whatever. Anyway, go ahead and make yourself some breakfast while I try to come up with something fun to do..."
While you were talking, standing there chest-deep in cereal in front of her, Sora was starting to wear a suspiciously cheerful grin on her face, while subtly adjusting her arms on the table on either side of you. Just when you're about to call her on it, a giant spoon against your back suddenly shoves you face-forward into the middle of the bowl, plunging you under-cereal for the second time today.
You come up sputtering and calling out again, but this time Sora's cheerfully talking over you. "Oh, look!" She chirps happily, faking discovery. "My cheerios are all soft and mushy now, just how I like them!"
"That's not funny!" You grumble, treading your way back towards the rim of the bowl, when the spoon sweeps in front of you and rushes by, held daintily above in just three of her fingers. "Hah, missed!" You cry out, surging forward in a rush of milk and grain in the wake left behind it. The big tablespoon rushes by again, a little further out and faster this time. Again, you surge forward.
"Oh my, is that the Lucky Charms elf?" Sora gasps in mock surprise, dramatically covering her mouth with her other hand as she does so. "I didn't know he was an ingredient in cheerios!" Haha, very funny, you grumbled internally.
"Maybe I should let him out?" She pretends to ponder, while running the spoon by you again. This time, the current doesn't drive you forward - in fact, it's all you can do to not get pulled back! Looking around, you suddenly realize Sora's game: She's missing you on purpose, stirring the bowl to create a whirlpool and drag you towards the center!
A rush of individual cheerio hoops catch you off-guard and knock you off your balance, causing you to fall and be swept back several strides before you're able to right yourself again. Just as you do, her spoon rushes by again, and you struggle to stand your ground against the now even-greater torrent of milk and cereal rushing against you.
"I suppose if he tries to climb out, I'll let him..." Sora goes on overhead, now faking boredom and ambivalence. "Yeah, if grabs the edge and tries to climb over, it would be rude to push him back. If he grabs the edge... that makes sense, right Stevie? Don't worry, I won't push you away from it or anything. In fact, I'm only going to eat straight from the middle, so the rest of the bowl is yours to swim around in however you want!"
Thus gleefully proclaiming, she sweeps her spoon around the bowl even faster, further out this time, upon which it finally forms the whirlpool she's been going for. You have just enough time to shout out "yeah, that's very fu-" before the current hits you and you get dragged under. You fly through the liquid, zooming around and around in an ever-narrowing spiral before you finally reach the center and burst free, resting on solid ground while the shallow mixture pulls in all directions around you.
"Whoah, that was intense!" You exclaim, half-laughing and half-panting while rubbing the grainy milk concoction from your eyes. "I feel like I should be mad, but that was some pretty crazy white-wate- huh?" You suddenly feel yourself rising, and the swirling liquid falls away. You quickly finish pawing at your eyes and open them to find yourself sitting on the girl's spoon, in a puddle of milk, rising steadily above the bowl. "H-hey, cut that-"
"Ahhhh!" Sora leans in and opens her mouth wide, keeping the spoon steady over the bowl, blasting you with a wave of hot, humid air as you stare down her rapidly-approaching throat.
Quickly, you jump off the spoon and fall back into the cereal bowl, controlling your fall this time and landing upright. "Sora, that's not funny!" You reproach, after gaining your bearings and coming up again. "I told you before, I really don't like getting swallowed!"
Disturbingly, Sora seems to ignore you for the most part, while making an elaborate show of pulling the now-empty spoon out of her mouth and swallowing. With the whirlpool having slowed down somewhat, you're able to start making some progress back out of the bowl when, to your dismay, she sighs happily and starts stirring the bowl again.
"Say, Stevie, why go to all the trouble of swimming to the middle and getting onto my spoon, if you don't want me to eat you?" She teases, giggling. You sigh.
Alright, she wants to play a game? You can play a game. Before the whirlpool can overpower you again, you carefully walk back to the middle of the bowl yourself, standing upright in the middle with the cereal swirling all around you. Sora looks surprised for a moment, then swipes extra-hard with the spoon, at which point again you're swept off your feet by the current and spin in place in the center, curled up and holding your breath.
The moment you feel yourself being lifted above the surface, you quickly get your bearings and jump clear, easily escaping the rising spoon. You land, surface, and look up to see that Sora has wasted no time on theatrics this go around, lifting it straight up and into her mouth without any fanfare.
"What, again Stevie?" She calls out after swallowing, this time with a hint of genuine disappointment creeping into her voice. "Don't be so indecisive! I guess I'll just have to be faster, before you change your mind again!"
You go another round, and then another. Sora's not even pretending at table manners anymore, she just picks up the spoon and shoves it into her mouth as quickly as she can - but you're always just one step ahead of her. "C'mon... I promise I won't flush you...~"
You start to get dizzy from spinning around all the time, as well as tired from withstanding the current. Which ordinarily would spell your defeat sooner or later, but for one thing: the water level's getting lower. With every swing and miss, another spoonful of liquid leaves the whirlpool, leaving it just a tad less to deal with on the next swing. Eventually, the whole thing's going to be shallow enough for you to just walk right out of here.
Just as you're thinking this, while swirling in the vortex for the umpteenth time, you feel yourself land in the hollow of the spoon and are swiftly lifted above the surface again. Fumbling slightly, you brace yourself and jump off blindly as usual, only this time...
