The floor suddenly looks very hard and unforgiving as you plummet toward it. Your luck, if it can really be called luck, holds out however as the front of your Mom's leg appears beneath you. It's not much, but it provides enough of a slant to slow your drop. Instead of hitting the floor directly you roll down your Mom's shin, flip over she shoe and skid across the floor under the drier and out of sight. Your whole world is spinning after that but you still hear your Mom make a sort of surprised sound and guess that she's scanning the floor for whatever piece of laundry fell from the basket and hit her leg. Finally after a moment she just walks away.
As your world finally resumes it's proper 'up is up, down is down' orientation you finally start to get up. Seems you've skidded all the way back to beside one of the dryer's rear legs. You've also been nice enough to unintentionally clean out all the dust and grime alone the path you took to reach this point under the dryer. You look and feel rather disgusting now; and frankly, a good hot shower would help you forget the last few minutes as well. Unfortunately, even at your size you can't stand up under the dryer and you're even more covered by dust as your emerge from beneath the dryer.
You immediately set off for the bathroom. Most of your long walk to the bathroom is uneventful; well, as uneventful as life can be at your size. You are almost crushed underfoot by your Mom in the kitchen as she continues to wander about doing house work while remaining oblivious to your presence. You realize you're going to have to have a real talk with her later.
You're just passing Tulip's doorway and about to enter the bathroom when you hear a voice behind you.
"Stupid mouse!"
You spin around just in time to see the broad side of a school textbook connect with you and send you flying down the hallway. You hit a wall and while you don't feel like anythings been broken, you do have the wind knocked out of you and are find yourself fighting to remain conscious. You slide to the floor and the last thing you see before the darkness wins out is a hand, Tulip's hand you realize, descending for you.
