Tulip’s smile broadens and you slowly begin to back away from her. Your getting a sinking feeling in your belly that you usually attribute to your sixth sense of when your in trouble. Your sister takes a step towards you, reaching out she grabs you off the table and carries you away. Her arms swing as she moves, shaking you up and down with every step. She’s started to giggle and has a crazed look in her eyes that you can see when she wings you up. Her footsteps stop and she tosses you unceremoniously onto the couch in the living room. You bounce twice on the sofa, when you are still your sister bends her knees until her giant face is hovering inches away from you.
“What are you doing!?” You scream at her, incensed at the rough way she was treating you. “You’re supposed to be looking after me, not tossing me around like a rag doll!” Tulip is not pleased with being yelled at, her smile falls and she scowls down at you hatefully. Her eyes narrow on your tiny head, focusing all her anger on you.
“Shut up, you bug. The only reason I’m not crushing your little bones is that I got bigger plans for you.” You gawk at her in shock; this isn’t the sweet girl that had offered to look after you a few minutes ago. This was the mean spirited brat that had been making your life a living hell for the past eight years.
“It was all an act?” Tulip snickers at the question, her face contorting with her laughter. She finds your question utterly hilarious.
“Of coarse I was faking, stupid. You will now and always be a bug that I keep only around for my entertainment. Sis and mom may have not gotten it, but I have. You aren’t a person, you’re just an action figure that popped out of mom. You don’t have any of the rights that a normal person is entitled to, your only reason for existence is to serve us, the giants.” Tulip says this as though she were explaining to a child; the irony that she actually was a child wasn’t lost on you at all. Her words sting and make you feel an emotion that you know will only lead to more trouble. You feel the anger boiling inside you, wanting to come out as your sister sneers down at you.
“At least I have friends, no one likes you because you’re an ugly bitch.” For a moment, your sister is too surprised to talk. Her mouth hangs open and her eyes widen at your words. But in a flash, she collects herself and glares down at you with a mischievous smile. Her smile doesn’t put you to ease, it only makes you more nervous. If Tulip had grabbed you off the couch, hit you, stepped on you, or anything else her twisted mind could come up with, then you wouldn’t be concerned. But she was just looking at you, with that big toothy grin.
“It’s funny that you should mention friends because I made some friends lately and their dying to meet you. You’ll really like them, there just like me,” she hisses at you, spraying you with her saliva. You whip her drool off your face and stare at her amused face. This was looking bad for you and every second it was getting worse and worse. What friends could Tulip be talking about? What do they want from you? And why were you so stupid as to trust Tulip?
