Himari heard footsteps coming towards Kurota's apartment.
"Crap! I gotta hide! They might think I'm some sort of thief!" Himari whispered as she grabbed the book and the newborn then walked towards the bathroom and hid in the bathtub.
Himari heard the door open as footsteps entered the room.
"Kurota?" Said a female voice. "It's the landlord. I haven't seen you in a while. And your doors unlocked, is everything okay?"
"It's the landlord! Probably worried about Kurota as I am. Wouldn't want her to see him as he is. I still need to get him back to normal!" Himari thought.
She knew the book was the key. The problem was she wasn't a magician or whatever like Kurota. The book and Kurota were placed at her feet as she peered at the frosted polycarbonate window of the bathroom.
"I hope she doesn't come inside of here!" Himari thought and prayed.
"Sheesh. It so dark in here. And it's a mess! It's like he hasn't been in here for a few days!" The landlord mumbled in disbelief as she began to search around.
