Maya was in panic until she noticed something coming out of the newborn boy's bellybutton. She walked back to check on him.
"Ummm...can you tell the driver to wait a bit?" Maya asked the inn tenant who was behind the door of her room.
"Yes, Ms. Kumashiro. I'll tell him that." The female inn tenant said as Maya listened carefully, hearing the woman's footsteps echo less and less.
Maya approached Bunmei who laid on her bed. He seemed to have short breaths.
"This cord...it looks like an umbilical cord." Maya thought as she lifted up.
She saw Bunmei squirm as if in pain. "Sorry!" Maya apologized as she let go of his umbilical cord.
