*Made a mistake in the previous chapter, whoops. A color page of the manga shows that Naomi has brown hair, not black hair. Also, now that I think about it, Naomi has a pretty damn similar look to Resident Evil's Ada Wong*
Naomi frowned slightly. She'd never liked jobs that targeted or involved children, though she'd be lying if she said she'd never taken any of those jobs.
That was life- it wasn't fair.
The target was a young boy with odd white hair, but other than that no distinguishing characteristics. He was just an average looking kid, maybe 10-years old.
'$10 million for a little kid? The organization really wants this kid dead...' Naomi mused. It wasn't her place to argue or question orders, she was simply curious. This was the single biggest payout from a job she'd ever had by a wide margin- and it was quite possibly the easiest job she'd ever taken.
Seriously, the payment the organization had wired her (half up front, as per usual for her) was enough on its own to allow her to retire comfortably, despite the fact that she was still in her early thirties. Add that to all the money she'd already made, and she'd be a very wealthy woman after this job was concluded.
'Sorry, kid... But I can't pass up a job like this. It's just too good.' Naomi thought, sending her mental condolences to the kid whose life was now ticking down by the second. Seriously, 10 million US dollars to spend a night at Japan's fanciest hotel, take out one little kid, and then head on out richer than ever? Only a fool would turn down a job like that. There were no enemy assassins to contend with, and the dossier told her that the kid was apparently staying on his own.
Even better. She could only assume that the boy was the heir of some wealthy industrialist or something. How else could he have paid for a luxury suite for an extended period of time?
Heh, if he was some rich heir, than his parents had been morons. According to the mission dossier, he was completely alone. No bodyguards, babysitters, or anybody else around.
This was going to be like taking candy from a baby.

Yin sat alone in his room, as usual. All alone, just... waiting. For what, he didn't know.
Next to him on the huge, king-sized bed he was sitting on was a golden pocket watch. He couldn't remember where he'd gotten it... he couldn't even remember how long he'd been staying at this hotel!
But... he couldn't shake the vague feeling that he was in danger...
He knew why, though. People who were different, or had valuable things were always in danger. See, his pocketwatch wasn't just an antique, it... or rather, he- had powers.
He wasn't sure if it was his own power, or a latent ability possessed by the watch itself, but he had the ability to stop time for a couple minutes... or rewind time by a little bit. He'd been too scared of the power to do much experimenting with it, so... honestly he didn't really know how to use it. All he did know was that despite having this power (or at least being able to use it) he was pretty damn weak with it.
And that wasn't the only bizarre thing. In addition to the watch that could manipulate time, next to Yin opposite the watch was a stopwatch! This was much different than the fancy antique pocket watch- this was a digital device from the modern age. Well, maybe slightly dated; it looked like it was made in the 90s, or maybe early 2000s.
The one time he'd used it, he'd nearly died of shock! The screen of the stopwatch seemed to be stuck at 30:00, and... when he'd pressed the lone button at the top of stopwatch, he'd... suddenly shrunken down to just a couple of inches high!
At first, he'd panicked, but after a couple minutes of fear he'd seen that the timer was counting down from 30 minutes... and when it ran out, he suddenly grew back to his normal (still short) height!
He hadn't bothered using it since then. The one thing he had learned was that the pocket watch hadn't shrunk with him. That meant that either he couldn't use it's time-warping abilities at the same time as the shrinking function of the stopwatch... or he could, but just wasn't good enough with either to do so.
Sighing, he stood up from the bed. Why couldn't he remember how long he'd been at this hotel for? The food was good, the place was fancy... but his past and his life was a mystery, like something was blocking all of his memories except for the past few weeks!
Just then...
*Doreedo's note: Yin's name is a play on the old man, who is name Yang. As in, Yin and Yang. Whether they're related/connected or not is up to your own opinion.*
1. Yin hears a knock at his door. Opening it, he's surprised to see a tall, beautiful woman standing outside who he's never met.
2. Yin decides to go downstairs to the dining hall.
3. Switch back to Naomi, who has received a call on her phone.
