Yayoi tried to act fast, having Eiko fasten herself to a tree, clenching the fabric of her blouse in her teeth to expose her tummy, which still showed the frightening movements within.
The keyword here was 'tried.' As Yayoi jabbed at the faces on Eiko's belly... Eiko grunted.

"Eek! Ack! OW!" Eiko cried at last, tears starting to pool in her eyes. She wanted these awful things out of her body right away, but it just hurt so much! And it wasn't the Angels that were hurting her, but Yayoi!
Yayoi frowned, ceasing her actions immediately. Eiko was pale-faced, panting, and sweating. Yayoi wanted to continue, as she was certain that her continued efforts would drive the Angels from Eiko's belly, but...
Eiko was in no state to continue. There was no point in driving the Angels out like this if Eiko wasn't guaranteed to survive.
"Eiko."
"H-huh?" Eiko, still drained from the painful experience she'd just endured, looked down at her frowning cousin.
"I'm sorry, but... it looks like the Angels have already formed physical bodies inside of your womb. If I keep trying to exorcise them like this... you might die!"
"NO! T-then... how will we get them out?" Eiko was scared, she wanted these Angels out of her- there faces were no longer showing on her belly, but... she could feel a physical weight inside of her now, clear evidence that she now had flesh-and-blood bodies growing inside of her. Oh no... how quickly were they going to grow?
1) Having two Angels inside of her speeds up the curse! Their physical bodies start growing right away! In just a few minutes, Eiko looks full-term with both of them!
2) The same as option 1, where the curse is sped up, but it's still delayed. The Angels grow slowly throughout the day/week (1 day = 1 month of pregnancy.)
