"The unborn in you has a similar resonance to you." Izuna explained.
"Wait! What do you mean?" Pear asked, a bit baffled and confused. "Can you explain?"
Izuna took a deep breath, "Well, I only see this with twins. Did you have a twin sibling? This one appears to be a boy." Izuna explained.
"N-no! I never knew of any twin that I had! I only know that I'm an only child!" Pear said.
Just then her grandmother came in with tea and snacks. Startling the two.
"Grandma!" Pear and Izuna yelled in union as the grandparent spooked them.
"Here is your snacks and tea." The grandma said as she placed the tea cups with tea and snacks.
"Uhh.. thanks." Izuna said.
"Grandma? Do you know if I had a twin sibling?" Pear asked her grandmother curiously.
Her Grandma sighed, "Yes, I know about it but he died at birth to save you. It was a heart wrenching sacrifice for both your parents as well as us. I'm sorry we kept it from you."
This shocked Pear to the core. Strangely, her grandma didn't noticed her large belly which was hidden beneath the sweater jacket she wore. The grandma bowed as she slowly stood up.
"Thanks grandma for telling me."Pear said as she smiled.
The grandmother bowed and smiled as she stroked Pear's head. This relieved some of the tension in the air.
"I need to tend to you grandpa. So if you'll excuse me." The grandmother said as she bowed and exited Pear's room.
"Well that explains things." Izuna said as she coughed to get Pear's attention.
"Yeah, I never knew but can you kindly explain why I'm pregnant with my twin brother?" Pear asked as she was curious.
"Well, I noticed that you have a strange color happening with your eyes. It's called tetragametic chimerism and heterochromia. I heard that's normal with twins which affirmed my suspicions of you carrying your twin brother." Izuna explained then took a sip from her tea.
Pear slowly got up and checked the mirror. She noticed her eyes had both brown and gray. She was shocked over it. Pear slowly lowered herself down. She took a deep breath.
"Ummm... Am I pregnant with a spirit with my twin brother or is it something taking the form of my twin brother." Pear asked nervously.
"Hmmmmm... Allow me to check again." Izuna said as Pear nodded.
Izuna made a circle of a 7 pointed star around Pear with salt as she pulled out prayer beads and ofuda. She carefully made her way towards Peat and seated in front of Pear.
"Let us begin.." Izuna said as Pear nodded.
Izuna began to concentrate and chant as her aura began to show. Izuna check on Pear's unborn.
What did Izuna see?
