After defending the swarm of zombies at the north precinct. Saya was able to find information at the police stations database. There she saw that one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Japan had been working in secret for not only a cure but a vaccine.
"Are you sure it's accurate?" Saeko asked.
"Positive, I was able to search thoroughly thanks to Rei's dad allow me access." Saya said proudly as there was a twinkle in her eyes.
"Well I have to thank you for reuniting me with my loved ones. I'm so glad to see them safe and sound." Rei's father said as he hugged the two.
Of course the other didn't know the whereabouts of their parents (Hirano, Saeko, Kimura and Saya.) All they can hope for is that they're safe.
"So what's the plan Komuro?" Hirano said.
"I wouldn't be surprised if that place isn't crawling with zombies." Rika followed.
"Point. But if they indeed have the vaccine. We can take it along with the data to distribute to everyone." Saya pointed out.
"Yeah, but still...I need to see the data and hope it's alright." Shizuka said.
"Well, as long as we stick together we should be fine. Let's go! We'll never know till we search." Komuro said as they followed him.
They got rearmed and took extra ammo and supplies. As much as Rei's mother didn't want her daughter to go with them. She knew she couldn't stop him to be with the man she loves. Alice and Zeke refused to be left behind while Rika decided to join their job in exchange to Rei's mom.
Multiple groups set out to gather supplies and find survivors. They were given a SWAT vehicle which had turrets. While the other didn't change their clothes. Saya decided to wear a jump suit like Rika which she wore some shorts and a tank top underneath. The suit hugged her curves as Hirano oggled while Komuro tried to avoid looking at her.
The pharmaceutical company was a few kms down south of where they were. They still saw zombies in the streets but nothing to waste ammo on. It didn't take long for them to reach the compound. As Rika drove the truck.
"Hmmmm....looks like they got in." Rika noted.
They saw the heavy duty gate slightly opened with blood everyone. They slowly drove in as Hirano was above in the turret looking around.
"I don't see any of them." Hirano reported.
"They're probably inside." Saya said." If we can get a map of the place we can find the area where the vaccine is located."
"Okay everyone! Stick together and watch each other's backs!" Saeko ordered.
"It's reassuring your here, Rika!" Shizuka said happily.
"I'm happy you've made it this far. It's thanks to them." Rika smiled.
They kept quiet as they entered the reception hall. There they saw dead bodies of civilians and soldiers. Blood everywhere. Komuro noticed Rika and Hirano searching the bodies of the dead soldiers.
"What are you doing?" Komuro whispered.
"We're gathering unused ammo." Hirano said. He decided to take one of the assault rifles as backup.
They checked the counsel as Saya found there was still power. The others watched in case They appeared. Luckily, they didn't.
"Got it! It looks like it's in the R&D department." Saya said.
"Which floor? This place is massive!" Rei noted.
Saya had downloaded into a tablet she found nearby that was full battery.
"Hmmmm....it looks like there's one below the chairman's floor and another underground." Saya said as she showed them the map. Highlighting where it is.
"Great, heads or tails." Hirano said. "So what's it gonna be?"
They looked at Shizuka.
"Huh? Why are you looking at me?" Shizuka said in panic as she waved her hands.
"Well, you are the medical expert. What do you think?" Saeko asked.
Shizuka looked at the map closely. Began to do a thinking gesture. She began to concentrate so hard she began to make faces.
"Let's try the underground. If it's testing then that R&D department should carry the vaccine. I kinda doubt it'll be below the chairman's office." Shizuka said.
"Pretty sneaky. Hide the vaccine for themselves." Rika said.
They all agreed they would go to the underground lab. As they walked, they saw blood trails, dead bodies everywhere but no signs of life. It wasn't until the reached the elevators that they swarmed!
"They're too many!" Hirano yelled.
Unfortunately, they had split up.
"Try to lead them away as far as you can! We'll regroup back at the hall!" Komuro yelled.
