Lucoa groaned as she lazed about in Shouta’s room. She’d gotten bored of aimlessly roaming the city, only to come back and remember that her precious little man was still at school. The ungrateful little cutie had barred her from going there without his permission. And while Lucoa was fond of bending the rules to rile up the boy, this seemed to be one of those important lines that she shouldn’t cross.

It was frustrating. Originally, it had only been a passing whim that had brought the ex-goddess to the aspiring young mage. However, after getting to know him better, she’d found a lot to hold her interest. He was smart, had a good work ethic, generally dependable, and his cuteness could not be understated. Not just his face, but even his reactions to her attempts at ‘bonding’ were just so irresistible. It was all she could do not to pull the little boy into her voluptuous chest every time she saw him. Unfortunately, the ex-goddess was a little too sexy for her own good and Shouta was easily overwhelmed.

No matter what Lucoa did, the boy always kept his guard up whenever she was around. He’d scream whenever she tried to join him in the bath and he outright refused to sleep with her. Granted, she’d just slip under the covers with him as soon as he was out, but the refusal still hurt. His mage parents had accepted her as Shouta’s familiar, which eased tensions enough so that at least he stopped calling her a succubus. However, things still weren’t what she’d like them to be.

Since her banishment from her pantheon after… things happened, Lucoa had grown lethargic and indifferent to the world around her. In the old days, she’d been the center of celebrations for her many worshippers. Humans across the land would travel hundreds of miles and offer vast fortunes of tribute just to spend a few hours in her company. Now… now she considered just holding hands with this boy in public to be a milestone. Oh, how the mighty had fallen.

Were things as they should be and Shouta born in her dominion, she’d have likely been tapped as her champion. Assuming other deities didn’t snatch him up first, she’d groom him to become a powerful mage, a hero of the people, and possibly even a king. Things didn’t work like that here on Earth, yet she still felt the urge to nurture this boy’s potential into greatness. Sadly, that couldn’t happen until he trusted her enough to devote himself as her follower.

At her wit’s end on how she could achieve this ‘noble’ goal, her stomach voiced its complaint. On her way to grab herself a snack, it finally hit her. Perhaps she’d been too lax in her approach? In the old days, she could just beckon for a human of any age or sex and they’d come running. And since her ‘subtle’ invitations had failed to yield results, the direct approach seemed like the next logical step. She was an ex-goddess with divine inclinations and noble intentions, which made everything fine. The laws of this world weren’t really a concern to her. However, she still needed to be careful.

Shouta was an easily startled boy and would try to run away no matter what she did. So, as much as she didn’t want to, she knew that she’d have to be forceful. For his own good and the betterment of the world, Lucoa knew that she had to make Shouta trust her. The method she had in mind had never failed to convert even the most reluctant subjects in her old world, but she needed to be careful, here. Shouta’s house was absolutely lousy with traps set to be triggered by malicious uses of magic. They weren’t likely to hurt Lucoa, but there was a chance that triggering too many might blow up the house, which would be counterintuitive to her overall goal.

If she wanted to have Shouta for herself, as was her right, then she’d have to catch him unawares and do the deed before he could resist. Snatching him off the streets on his way from school was probably the best way to avoid the magic traps, but it still ran the risk of alerting witnesses, which was a hassle that she did not want to deal with. She could try lunging for him before he got through the door and spirit him to somewhere secluded before he had a chance to blink. He’d warmed up a little to her joining him in the bath, so he might let his guard down enough for her to strike. Then again, the boy slept like a log, so it might be easiest to wait until after dark.

What does she choose?
