Sitting in the corner by himself, a very nervous Kurusu felt very uncomfortable, frightened and underdressed as he watched the carnage going on in front of him. Everything had gone to Hell this morning when Mrs. Smith arrived with a big announcement. Apparently single males were now prohibited to live with other species if they are not related to or married to the host. With the threat of having his girls taken away, Kurusu asked Mrs. Smith if there was anything he could do to keep everyone with him. Her solution seemed simple enough at the time.
“I’m way too young to get married,” he sighed to himself as he watched the girls prancing around in their wedding dresses. Each girl had made rush orders on wedding dresses to wear when they got married. It wasn’t necessary, there was no ceremony or reception, Mrs. Smith was just coming by with some paperwork for them to fill out to make it official. But the girls insisted and Kurusu was left to watch as they got worked up over their so called wedding.
“This will not do! Call the store! Call a seamstress! Call someone!” Cerea wailed as she clutched her torn wedding to her huge chest. She had gotten the biggest dress she could find and while the frills and lace in the back covered her rear, the front was just too small for her gigantic breasts. Kurusu was looking away, not wanting to see his soon to be wife’s naked chest.
“Relax! Your dress isn’t important; we need flowers, banners, a cake! We can’t have a wedding without a cake,” Miia whined as she slithered around the floor, nearly tripping over the bottom of her wedding dress as she tried to get everything perfect. Nagas were not meant to wear long dresses and Miia had nearly torn hers off several times.
“What a disaster. This is just how I envisioned my wedding day!” Mero cried, the tragedy-obsessed mermaid loving her wedding. Of course she was the only girl in a black wedding dress, wanting to wear something somber on her happiest day. Papi added to the chaos by trying to remove her wedding dress, but struggling to get it off with her wings. The other girls had forced her into it, but the harpy was not happy. It was a mad house and Kurusu wondered if once he was married things would get calmer or if this was opening an even bigger can of worms.
“Why are you all in wedding dresses?” Kurusu looked up to see Mrs. Smith walk into the house as usual letting herself in. She turned to the groom, who just shook his head, having no other explanation but the girls being girls. Deciding she really didn’t care what the girls did, Mrs. Smith pulled out a sheet of paper. “Anyway, here’s the marriage form. I had to get the one for multiple interspecies marriages. You know you’re allowed to marry up to ten people, don’t suppose there are any other girls you’d like to join this harem?”
“NO!” Everyone screamed together. Suu popped in, the only one not needed to marry Kurusu because she wasn’t officially listed as living there. Miia pushed the slime girl away, not willing to share her darling with yet another girl.
“Okay, I just need you to sign here and this marriage will be done.” Miia glared at the agent and moved up to her, the other girls close behind. Seeing the paper and pen, they all frowned. “We aren’t signing anything until you say it.”
“Say what?”
“Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in heath, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself solely unto him for as long as you both shall live?” Miia said as she got right in Mrs. Smith’s face. “I heard it on a soap opera, you have to say it or we aren’t really married.”
“You got to be kidding me,” Mrs. Smith groaned as the girls leaned in further, evil glints in their eyes as they waited for her to do what they considered her duty to them. They had been denied a big wedding, but they would not be denied this. Relenting, Mrs. Smith quickly recited the words to avoid being attacked by the monster girls. She knew how easily angered these girls could get and the last thing she wanted was some of the same treatment they gave their darling.
“Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in heath, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself solely unto him for as long as you both shall live?” She recited blandly, getting another glare from the three monster girls. They ignored her lack of commitment to playing her part and focused instead on enjoying this important moment.
“I DO!” the girls all said together in one voice. They looked lovingly over at Kurusu, all of them holding their breathes in anticipation for him saying the three most important words of their lives. Taking a deep breath and looking at his soon to be wives, Kurusu closed his eyes and said the words that would seal his future.
“I do too.”
Kurusu got up and walked towards his wives, still struggling with what he was doing, but not regretting it. These girls were too important to him to lose and while he still was very uncertain about his feelings, he knew he cared enough to do anything for him. He took the pen and wrote his name on the marriage contract. The girls quickly followed suit, each putting their signatures and making the marriage official.
“Well, that was a lot of stress for just some signature,” Mrs. Smith noted as she pit the paper into her pocket. “I’ll leave you girls alone, I’m sure you all want to enjoy your honeymoons and consummating your marriages. Just remember to stay hydrated and use lots of…”
Mrs. Smith stopped talking as she saw Kurusu was gone and along with one of the girls. She had probably dashed off the seconded she signed her name. Shaking her head, Mrs. Smith hoped Kurusu survived. She still had a lot of interspecies girls to get rid of that would love a husband like him.
