Yoko didn't know what had occurred, but the second she looked upon the tiny form of Simon, a whole wave of instincts boiled to the forefront. Most of them involved keeping the tiny boy as close to her as possible, caring for him, snuggling him, doing everything she could to make the boy feel comfortable in her warm, loving embrace.
So when Nia's voice interrupted her, Yoko felt compelled to hide Simon from her. After all, she gave him this shrinking poison without knowing what it would do, and she couldn't even be bothered to be worried. Yes, that was it. She had to keep Simon to herself...for his sake.
"Where to put you?"
"Yoko?" Simon asked with worry in his voice. It was bad enough being in this predicament, but unsure of what was coming next only made the situation worse.
Yoko looked around, her outfit not having anything resembling a pocket. She couldn't place him in her clothes either. As much as the idea appealed to her, the skin tight outfit would make him easily noticeable to anyone, even someone as naieve as Nia. She searched frantically until finally, she realized there was one place she could place the tiny form.
"Simon, I need you to trust me, OK?"
"T...trust you?"
Simon couldn't get out another word. Hastily, Yoko scooped up Simon's jacket and wrapped him in it, ensuring his form would not be visible to anyone looking at the article of clothing. Holding it tight to her body, she watched as Nia entered the room.
"Miss Yoko? Have you seen Simon?"
"Unfortunately," Yoko began, trying to keep her voice as calm and cool as she could, "no. All I heard was some screaming and then he RAN into the shower."
"The...shower?" Nia asked confused.
"You didn't make him feel better, just very panicked. But hey, at least he's not moping around, right?"
"I...I suppose that is a good thing," Nia pondered.
"Yeah, well now we have to wait. Let's just hope he doesn't get addicted to that too."
Nia offered a grin, happy that she could be of some help, and left the room. The second she left, Yoko quickly unwrapped the jacket with the enthusiasm of a child opening a present.
"Simon? It's just us now..."
