Simon had a lot on his mind as he rode in Lagann as it climbed up from the deep canyon he had fallen in. His brother was alive, which was an amazing miracle, but he had become a giant. Simon was both confused and scared about this new development, wondering what things were going to be like now that he was a giant. Would he still be his little brother now that his head reached the clouds? Simon had always hated change, even when it was positive, and he saw nothing positive about Kamina’s growth other then being in his shadow even more.
Reaching the top of the canyon, Simon retracted the canopy and peered out. His giant brother was back on his feet, holding Yoko in his palm as he talked to Leeron. Simon listened to the conversation between the giant and effeminate man.
“I’m going to look for Simon. You can do your experiments later.”
“But I could learn so much if I got to study you now. Who knows how much longer you’ll be like this. Spiral power isn’t infinite.”
“Save it for later, I’ll search for Simon and you play with Leeron,” Yoko sighed in exasperation over the two boys stubbornness. Simon could be in danger and they were arguing like children. Catching sight of something on the ground in the corner of her eye, Yoko ran over to the side of Kamina’s hand and peered down. She grinned as she spotted a familiar young face peering up at her from inside Lagann.
“I found Simon!” She pointed to him on the ground and everyone looked. Kamina snapped his head down to see Simon just by his foot. Without a second thought, he crouched down and grabbed Simon out of Lagann by the back of his shirt. Hanging by his fingers, Simon kicked his feet as he was brought hundreds of feet up and dropped down beside Yoko on Kamina’s palm. Immediately, Yoko ran up to him, pulling him into full hug.
“Thank you! Thank you! I know you didn’t mean to, but you somehow saved Kamina. You’re a hero Simon,” she softly told him so the bog idiot holding them wouldn’t hear how much his safety meant to her. Simon didn’t respond because his face was currently buried in Yoko’s big chest. He honestly didn’t see why she should thank him, he didn’t even know what he did. But getting this close to her chest made him remain silent, as he enjoy the human contact from the fiery redhead.
“Yep, you saved me little bro. I’ll return the favor some day,” Kamina boasted. He watched Yoko and Simon hug on his palm, wondering how he could join in to give Simon a manly hug and maybe steal a feel of Yoko. He had to be careful with them so he decided he’d just hold them in his hand. Simon and Yoko didn’t know what hit them when Kamina closed his hand around them, pinning them between his meaty fingers and palm. They were both completely disappeared in his huge fist, both of them squeezed together tightly in his hand. He only held them for a few seconds before opening his hand. They laid on his palm breathing heavily as Kamina grinned blissfully down at them.
“You’re an idiot,” Yoko groaned, not bothering to look up at the giant fool. Even though he had nearly been crushed, Simon smiled. Nothing had changed. Even at hundreds of feet tall, his brother was still the same goofball that he loved and hated at the same time. He might be bigger, but they were still brothers. Feeling content, he wondered what life would be like now. Maybe Leeron could build some armor for Kamina to wear into battle. If outfitted with the proper equipment he could be there own personal Gunman. Whatever happened, Simon just hopped that someone made something to cover up Kamina’s body. Being held by a giant naked guy was a little disheartening.
