As Rei walked home from school, she continued to think about that horrible vision she received. What series of events could possibly lead to her becoming a cannibalistic monster? She continued to ponder this, when suddenly she heard something coming from a nearby bakery.
"HELP! ITS EATING ALL OF OUR STOCK!" Someone said. Hearing this, Rei ran into an alley and transformed into Sailor Mars! She ran over to the bakery, and saw what appeared to be some kind of blob monster with sharp teeth eating every pastry it came across.
"Hold it!" Sailor Mars said, calling the monster out. "I am a soldier of fire and passion, Sailor Mars!"
"Mars?" The monster said, in a wet gargly kind of voice. "I was hoping for Moon..."
"What? I'm not good enough!?" Sailor Mars said, offended. "Take this!"
Sailor Mars began to make a hand gesture, and soon fire began to appear in front of it!
"FIRE SOUL!" Sailor Mars called out, shooting her attack at the blob creature, burning him. It screamed in pain, but it was still not down.
'How powerful. Perhaps she shall be my target after all...' the monster thought to itself. It then went after Sailor Mars as she pulled out a shinto scroll and began to chant.
"Rin, pyou, tou, sha, kai-" was all Sailor Mars could get out before the blob monster bit her right on the arm! Sailor Mars screamed in pain, and then attempted to grab the monster and throw him off, but he seemed to be disappearing into thin air? "What? What are you doing?"
"Oh, you'll be seeing me again, very soon..." the monster said, right before disappearing completely. Sailor Mars was confused by this, but right now her arm hurt too much for her to think very clearly.
"I should go back home and get this looked at. And maybe grab a bite to eat..." Sailor Mars said, heading back to her shrine. If only she knew what that bite was going to do to her...
