It was beyond frustrating. All of this power and all they wanted to do was keep attacking, like a breeze attempting to knock over a mountain. And yet, if she had just crushed these insects like the worthless bugs they were, no one would know. All she would be doing is giving the crew a rather erotic display of power. There was definitely a time and a place for that, but she needed to make this absolute. She needed someone alive, someone important from the Marines to survive this and witness her power. To let their bosses know that any ship which sailed after the Straw Hat Pirates would meet the same fate.
Looking on at the shore, she saw one man, clad in a navy officer uniform, struggle to shore. He would be perfect.
"Going somewhere cutie?" Nami asked menacingly to the masked officer as she caught him between her index finger and thumb. The man looked terrified, sure of the imminent death that was sure to come. But rather than crush him, the giantess placed him on top of the mountain that overlooked the island. Amusingly enough, throughout the whole ordeal, the remaining soldiers continued to fire at her, the giantess not even feeling the bullets.
"Pay close attention," Nami sternly instructed the officer as she placed him upon the mountain's peak, four hundred feet into the air. "I'm going to demonstrate exactly what happens to people who think it's a good idea to attack the Straw Hat Pirates. You're going to watch all of it, and you're going to tell the bureaucrats what happened to these ships and all these little seamen."
"W...what are you?" the officer asked. Nami just grinned, licking her lips.
"I'm a nice girl...until you get me mad."
Turning her attention to the playthings at hand, Nami's teasing grin gave way to full blown laughter. The fact that they continued to fire their rifles at her was bordering on masochism. Let's clearly do what isn't working and piss off the galleon destroying monster even more. Genius tactics.
Nami was all set to begin her demonstration when she noticed the Thousand Sunny out of the corner of her eye. Perfect. She could have them witness this too. The last thing she wanted was for Luffy to miss the show. The fact that she was preparing to do something with the small group of survivors did not go unnoticed by the approaching ship and its crew.
"It appears that Nami isn't done yet," Robin noted matter-of-factly as the ship approached.
"What is she planning?" Ussop asked, before Franky went up to him.
"You see that? You see how they're all helpless and don't have ship cannons pointed at you? NOW you shoot them with your slingshot!"
"That may not be such a good idea," Robin answered. "I doubt she wants interference, well, not just yet anyway." The cute rubberman next to her had occupied her immediate attention, but at the same time Robin wanted to get off the boat and stretch her legs. A few hundred foot stretch would be exactly what she had called for. Luffy on the other hand just looked on, wondering what his navigator had planned.
