Mako poisoning has several effects AnimeVore,GTS,GT,Shrink,Unbirth,AnalVore chapter 25 by copier · original author: erik

Materia is made out of refined Mako. Mako is the life energy of the planet that comes up to the surface. Mako is a poisonus greenish liquid that's deadly to humans in huge amounts. In fact, if a human is exposed to enough Mako, thier bodies change into something not human. Mako isn't rare, but a natural Mako fountain is. One of the very few places where a Mako fountain is located is in the caverns of Mt. Nibel. That was the reason why Shirna, Inc had a Mako reactor on the summit of Mt. Nibel. Members of SOLDIER were exposed to a great deal of Mako, but not enough to change thier bodies into monsters. That's what happened at the Mt. Nibel reactor; people were turning into monsters and Shirna, Inc was behind it. A man named Sephiroth, SOLDIER's most elite member, believed that he was a monster too and he went mad and burned Nibelheim to the ground.
Tifa Lockhart was a mountain guide to Mt. Nibel; she would show tourists the sights of Mt. Nibel. Tifa was a very capable fighter, so she fought off any monster that came too close...if the monsters wasn't too big. Mt. Nibel is famous for its dragons, and running into one is a bad idea unless you were a remarkable fighter...like Sephiroth or someone just as strong.
The most favorite spot for the tourists was the natural Mako Fountain. Tifa would bring a group of tourist to show them the very rare sight. The cavern of the Mako Fountain was dangerous if you hung around in there for long...Mako is poisonus after all and it caused mutations if exposed to it for too long.
Over the years as a mountain guide, Tifa's body began to change in subtle ways. Tifa had been a strict vegetarian, but she favored meat as the years went on. By the time that Sephiroth and Zack (and Cloud in the background) came to Nibelheim, Tifa started to crave live food. She couldn't explain the craving of live food, but it was still there. Her jaw and crotch began to tingle every time she saw a mouse crawling on the floor, or some such thing. She had actually eaten a mouse once, and what disturbed Tifa the most other than the act was the pleasure she felt after eating the mouse alive. Tifa wanted to know what was wrong with her and why her body started to change so much...but Sephiroth's visit put all that on the backburner.
Tifa never figured out why she turned away from being a vegetarian and become a carnivore and craved live food. It was her visits to the Mako Fountain that had caused her body to change slowly over the years. Mako poisoning can have several effects; it could change a person into an outright monster, or it could give the person unexpected powers and abilities. This isn't known by Tifa, but she's just beginning to suspect it.
