Renamon sighed and rolled over onto all fours before forcing herself to gag and wretch. Rika could feel the stomach start to contory around her before it suddenly pushed her upwards, Renamon's throat bulging outwards again as her tamer was forced back the way she came.
Within a couple minutes, Rika was on the floor, covered in Renamon's saliva and various juices, and both were panting for breath. Renamon spoke up first.
"Rika, I really am sorry, but I just... I have to eat something... no someone, or I'm going to go insane." Renamon stood up, not needing as long to recover as Rika since she hadn't been stuck in a cramped place for the past several minutes. "Please... Don't try to stop me. I'll be back once it is safe."
"Renamon, no!" Rika called out, but Renamon was already gone, having dashed out as soon as she'd finished talking.
Renamon immediately made her way into the town proper, her mindset adjusting to an instinctual predatory motive. Prey was plentiful in the city, but it would be too dangerous to just snatch someone off the streets. A couple ideas immediately came to mind. The first was the idea of snatching up someone who wouldn't be missed. Crime wasn't exactly rampant in Shinjuku, but like any city, scum of the earth like muggers and drug dealers still existed. If she was careful, she could snag one without anyone noticing, and it's not like the local authorities would look too hard into the disappearance of someone they'd just have thrown in prison anyway.
On the other hand, there was one particular target she knew was generally on his own. Guilmon. He didn't leave his little hide-away often, and it wouldn't be difficult to trick him into putting himself in a position where she'd easily be able to devour him... assuming he wasn't being visited by anyone.
