Suddenly, the lights in the hall began to flicker, which could only mean that danger was nearby. An ominous booming drew everyone to the windows once more, letting them bear witness to dark clouds quickly enveloping the whole sky. “Uhhh, wasn’t it just a nice night a minute ago?” Kurumi trembled, before lightning cracked loudly in the sky, sending Becky and Himeko to latch onto each other, shivering as tear drops hung from their eyes.
Then, rain came pouring down from the rumbling darkness above, hammering into the ground below so hard, it might as well have been hail. The rain sent the fire in Becky’s heart raging once more, giving herself something new to complain about “Oh great! Now we’re stuck here!” It was at this time though when Mesousa finally woke back up, and the bunny let out a horrified shriek as he detected true evil. Everyone suddenly turned to see her, Ichijo, standing in the hallway.
The lightning clashed as she presented herself before her classmates, looking as calm and weird as ever. “What are you doing here?” Becky spoke for everyone, but received no response. “Hello? Ichijo?...HEY, YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU’RE TEACHER IS TALKING TO YOU!” no manner of yelling seemed to work though, as the girl remained like a statue. The sound of the rain seemed to be enveloped by the unsettling silence that now permeated in the room. No one knew what to do; everyone was too afraid to move, unsure if one false step could lead to god knows what.
“Go check it out.” Mesousa felt a poke in the back of his head, and turned to face the girls. “M-me?” he asked, and he was met with only stern looks before Rei’s hand shoved him right at Ichijo. Stumbling over to the creepy girl, Mesousa took the final steps unwillingly, but knowing he had no other choice. The bunny gulped and slowly tried to look up at her “Um, excuse me? What are you doing here?” Her head slowly creaked down to view him and Mesousa began to tear once more, but then he was only met with the rumbling of Ichijo’s tummy.
“Excuse me, I’m absolutely starving right now.” She apologized, holding her arms across her stomach. It seemed like all the girl needed was some candy of her own….but that’s when the horror was revealed. Mesousa’s dread rattled his very soul as the girl moved her arms back down, letting him watch as her clothed torso morphed into what could only be described as a pair of green lips, which opened to reveal a dark, cavernous, dripping wet maw. Rows of huge, sharp teeth poked out from the jaws, and an unearthly noise came from the mouth as Mesousa felt a lump in his throat. Suddenly, something shot out from the back of Ichijo’s shirt, and by the time the bunny caught on, it was too late. The girls all watched as a slimy, green tentacle flung the bunny into the air, before tossing him right into the gaping maw. He only had a second to scream before the teeth came together with a sickening crunch. They mashed and sloshed the gushing remains around in their embrace, leaking blood onto the ground with each smack. The maw slurped up the remains and swallowed them in one gulp. A simple belch sent a tiny skull bouncing onto the floor.
With shrieking terror, everyone ran for their lives, leaving only Becky’s candy spilling behind. Stepping forward, Ichijo picked up a piece and her body suddenly returned to looking normal. Staring at the tasty treat, she grinned in the girl’s direction.
