Everybody has their own problems to deal with, and Akane Tendo is no exception to this rule. Apart from going through the tricky and unpredictable life of a teenager, her life seems to continually find ways of being rather stressful, and at no point did this become more apparent than when she met Ranma Saotome, and his suitors, of which she was included.
Yes, without her knowledge, years ago her father made a deal with Ranma’s dad that one of the Tendo girls would be married to Ranma, and it turns out that Akane wound up getting stuck with that, her sisters getting off scot free. Apart from having no romantic feelings for Ranma…at least none that she is willing to admit, this also forced Akane to become a perpetual target for any other girls who wished to have Ranma all to themselves, many of whom were also promised to him, and happen to be incredibly skilled in martial arts. Akane herself is a very tough girl, to the point where certain people aka Ranma, say tomboyish ways make her rather uncute, but no matter how strong she is, there is only so much a person can take, and alas, Akane found her breaking point sooner than later.
Maybe it was when Kodachi challenged her for the hundredth time for Ranma’s heart, maybe it was when Shampoo or her stupid wannabe suitor Mousse both tried once again to eliminate her from the picture to either win Ranma or to lure Ranma into a trap, maybe it was even just from Ukyo one day telling her that with her horrible cooking skills, Akane would never be the perfect wife for Ranma; whatever it was, one day Akane did finally and truly crack under all of the stress those girls brought into her life. Being only rivals and nothing more to the girl however, the only clue Koadachi, Shampoo, and Ukyo were given to that was that they stopped seeing her.
Months had passed and while going an extended period of time without seeing a rival for the boy you intend to marry sounds appealing, those three girls had no idea what kind of danger was growing in all that time, and on the day when they finally did learn of it, they were already doomed.
The first to arrive was Ukyo, showing up at the entrance to the Tendo Dojo, with a smile on her face and some hot fresh Okonomiyaki ready to deliver to her future husband. Her enjoyment was spoiled however when she heard a bike rapidly approaching and the person onboard made her scowl even before she spoke, “Hiyah! What you doing here?!”
“Not that it’s any of your business, but I’m here on a delivery. You’re not the only restaurant in town, Shampoo, and besides, Ranma’s going to love what I prepared for him.” She told the Chinese Amazon, but instead of getting her to leave, she saw her eyes widen before an even angrier scowl returned, and she retorted “If Ranma love your cooking so much, how come he order from Shampoo?!” Now Ukyo’s eyes got a little bigger as Shampoo pulled out the dish that had her love’s name written all over it. With both girls fighting the urge to either ponder the question they both shared or beat the other, it took an unwanted third party to things rolling for them “What?! What’re you doing here?!”
“Kodachi?” Ukyo spoke, now confused more than ever to have the crazy gymnast join the party. Said nutcase moved closer to them, irritation radiating from her body before she tried to get rid of the two obstacles “Why don’t you two floozies just leave now to save us all the trouble. Unlike you, I was actually invited here. My darling Ranma sent me this letter stating that he finally wants to talk about US. It took him long enough, but boys will be boys I suppose.” Before Kodachi could get anymore spacey and doughy eyed, Ukyo cleared her throat to snap her out of it, and it was then that the questions were laid out.
“Hold on, Kodachi, something really strange is going on. I received an order for Ranma, and so did Shampoo.” Ukyo stated, and the two girls showed off their deliveries to the girl in the green leotard, who now shared the same level of confusion that they did. “So, what going on?” Shampoo spoke for everyone. What started out as a chance to see their darling Ranma was quickly turning into a mystery, one that the three of them became determined to solve. Moving to the door, their rivalries were put on hold as they all moved towards the goal of getting some answers.
“Hello? Ranma?” Ukyo called out, but quickly shut her mouth, clamping it and her nose tightly, and the other girls did the same. A stinky hung in the air, one that must have permeated the whole house. “HIYAH! What Stinks?!” Shampoo whined, wanting to know, but not having the courage to try and analyze the stench. It was then that a voice called out to them from the dining room, a husky and deep voice, but also sounding somewhat familiar to the girls “Bring the food in here.” Being great at their jobs pushed Ukyo and Shampoo into the smelly house, while Kodachi briefly looked back the way they came, before foolishly following them in. If only she had listened to that gut feeling, for by the time she caught up with the girls, once more their eyes bulged, bigger than ever “Wow, it actually worked. I knew the lunch hour would keep you guys really busy, but you didn’t even question that my voice wasn’t Ranma’s. Good thing to, because I’m starving.”
“AKANE???!!!!!!!”
