After a moment of thought, Nabiki came to the conclusion that it would be far more profitable to sell Ranma at auction. Of course, no one would retain ownership over his services except her and he would be returned the next morning to be auctioned again. A lovely cycle of profit if she ever saw one. Each one of Ranma's suitors had a means of income and all were willing to pay for anything relating to him.
Nabiki quickly phoned Ranma's potential fiancées. Ukyo, Shampoo, and Kodachi were informed that she was selling something to do with Ranma but kept further details quite. Nabiki hurried downstairs and informed Kasumi they would be having visitors soon. All three arrived in one big group, shoving each other so they could be the first one through the door. Once everyone was in the living area Nabiki began.
“I called you all here for a very special reason. I am going to hold an auction and the winner gets a very special prize for a day.”
The three girls started to get rowdy.
“Why exactly should we give you money for something we won’t even be able to keep?!” Ukyo demanded indignantly.
“Yeah, what could Mercenary Girl possibly have that worth the money?” accompanied Shampoo.
“I really hope that it is worth my time Tendo harlot, otherwise I shall have to bring my wrath down upon you.”
“Very well,” Nabiki said in an effort to quell the brewing riot, “since you are all so impatient about my special product I guess I should just show it to you.”
Nabiki lifted her hand in front of her and opened it, exposing the auction’s prize.
“Is that who I think it is?” Ukyo asked in disbelief.
“It can’t be…” said Shampoo, rubbing her eyes in an attempt to clear a non-existent particle of dirt.
“Ranma-sama…” Kodachi gasped.
“That’s right, in my hands is the one and only Ranma Saotome at three inches tall!!! And he can be your’s for the day if you win the bid.”
All three girls started digging for their wallets, counting their cash and going through their check books in preparation.
“I think we will open the auction at a bid of 10,000.”
The bidding quickly escalated as all three girls attempted to win their object of affection for their own. Finally one of them won.
“And sold to…”
