Doing the right thing isn’t always easy, and neither is owning up to what you have done. Some people can avoid these things whenever they like and sleep like babies, but Ranma Saotome was not that kind of person, as ever since that night in the bathroom, while he was inside of Akane’s belly, Shampoo’s words had continue to hang over his head, and soon he had found the strength to finally get what he had to off of his chest, no matter what the consequences.
He had walked into the Okonomiyaki restaurant with his head held low, and upon seeing him, naturally Ukyo knew that something was wrong. Now, it was her head that was hung, as the two of them remained seated in front of the other.
“So…you and Akane…” she stopped herself there. Ukyo didn’t need to hear it all again, and she really didn’t want to, but even as she spoke the words aloud, a part of her just couldn’t believe what Ranma had just told her. “And Nibiki and Shampoo.” He forced himself to say, with the only comfort he could find being that he had yet to bed Kasumi.
Ranma saw her fists tighten and all he wanted to do was take everything back or let her punch him since he deserved it. He wished more than anything that none of this was happening, but he knew that he couldn’t live with himself any longer without coming clean to Ukyo. Still, just looking her now, as she refused to look him in the eye, it killed him. He tried to reiterate the rest of the story once more in a vain hope to make things even a little better “I only started doing this because when we eat people, we just get these urges and they were getting too strong to ignore, so we decided that-
“Get out.” Ukyo abruptly told him. She had heard it all, and didn’t want Ranma near her anymore. Ranma tried to speak, but he stopped himself quickly, now knowing that his words held no meaning to her anymore. He walked out that door, never looking back, and as soon as he was gone, Ukyo slumped her head down into her arms and onto the counter, crying as she felt her heart completely shattered. She didn’t know how long she had stayed there, for once her eyes had dried, what she knew was what needed to be done.
Being a lifelong chef, Ukyo had procured many techniques and recipes many chefs could only dream of, and after going through her things, she found just what she was looking for. The scroll she held in her hand contained a recipe for dough, and it was the answer to her problems. Clenching her free hand into a fist, the now determined Ukyo smiled, and spoke to herself “Time to set things right.”
For an entire week, Ukyo didn’t leave her restaurant, as she spent every free moment she had trying to replicate the complex instructions to create the dough. Neither Ranma nor his sluts ever dared set foot anywhere close to her place in that span of time, making her mission go all the more smoothly, even as every batch kept blowing up in her face. Just as she was starting to think that she and Akane had that in common, the last pan of dough she prepped did nothing but rise until baking was complete, and after cooling, Ukyo took her creation in her proud hands, and devoured every bite of it.
Much like a certain group of people in the Cat’s Café once were, Ukyo suddenly found sharp pains shooting through her stomach, even spreading to the rest of her body, and yet even as she fell behind the counter in agony, she knew that her plan had worked. In no time at all, she was back on her feet, and knew that soon, she would be making some calls.
