"GET TO COVER!" shouted Sakura as another bright light shot between her and Natsuki.
Both Natsuki and Sakura hid behind pillars of stone sticking out of the ground. They had been seperated from the rest of the group, fighting a rag-tag group of enemies that were reported to have a strange weapon causing trouble in an abandoned area of the warehouse district.
Another blue beam shot past them.
"Natsuki! They seem to delay firing after every third shot, I think they may need to recharge after firing three times, that should be our chance!"
"Myah, are you sure? That beam is scary, it looks like it could fry my hair off."
"It will probably fry a lot more than that...."
A third beam shot past them
"NOW!" Shouted Sakura as she jumped out from cover ..... face to face with a bright blue beam of light right in front of her.
"CRA---" Sakura's voice trailed off as Natsuki watched the foxgirl disappear in the beam of light, leaving behind only her clothes.
"NYA! Sakura! Shes gone! WhatdoIdo WhatdoIdo WhatdoIdo?" Natsuki paniced as their targets took this opportunity to run away.
As Natsuki continued to panic in place she heard a faint voice yell at her.
"hey!"
Natsuki looked up to see a naked 6 inch tall Sakura floating in front of her face.
"Nya? Sakura, you look like a doll, why didn't you tell me you could do that?"
"IDIOT!" Sakura yelled as she bopped Natsuki on the head..... or at least tried... "that crazy weapon of theirs did this to me! Did you catch them?"
"Uhhhh..." Natsuki shyly said as she looked at where their targets used to be.
"You are so undependable" sighed Sakura
Sakura flew up on a wooden ledge to get a clear view of her sorroundings, Natsuki hopped up on the ledge next to her.
"HEY! Get down from here you stupid cat, this ledge can't possibly support your weight!"
Just as she had said that there was a loud creaking sound, both Natsuki and Sakura were afraid to move, the creaking got louder and the ledge gave way, dropping Natsuki on the ground and Sakura into one of the warehouses, covering her in a strange-smelling powder being stored there.
"Ugh!" Sakura groained as she flew out of the warehouse and landed a short distance outside the warehouse. "I swear Natsuki there isn't a single brain cell in-"
"NYAAA!"
"Hurk!" Sakura got the wind knocked out of her as she suddenly was pressed into the ground. She looked up to see she was being held by two giant hands, Natsuki was in a crouched position on all fours, she had just pounced her!
"What do you think you are doing?" Sakura got no answer, and as she looked into Natsuki's eyes she saw why, the catgirl seemed to be completely out of it, intinct in control of her actions. As Sakura tried to figure out what had happened to her partner, she recognized the smell of the powder she was covered in, it was catnip!
"This day can't get worse"
