"The Dragon's Delight" was filled with patrons chatting and eating from plates. What the patrons was exactly eating, Arumi couldn't tell because the resturant was so filled with people. Some people Arumi recongized, but most of the people were unknown to her...which disturbed her. In the other Abenoshi's, there were familiar faces everywhere, but it seemed that this was a completely different one from the others. Sasshi and Arumi made thier way to the front of a counter that offered a choice of pies...and live animals. Sasshi didn't like the look of this place, but Arumi wasn't bothered at all.
"May I help you?" asked the man that was behind the counter.
"Yes, I want to talk to the manager" said Arumi. "it's about the debt that Kouhei owns him. This boy right here will be his payment"
The man eyed Sasshi for a moment. "Just a moment, please" with that, the man walked away from the counter and headed for a door that was labeled "Private".
"Arumi, I really have a bad feeling about this" said Sasshi, looking around and spotting a patron eating what looked like a whole person! Sasshi was seriously freaking out, while Arumi stayed cool and collected.
"If you're so nervous, then take one of those pills we got" grumbled Arumi.
"But what if I need them later?" asked Sasshi.
Before Arumi could answer, the man that worked behind the counter returned with the oddest-looking person they ever saw. The manager of the "Dragon's Delight" was a dragon--sort of. The female manager of the place was a mixture of an eastern dragon and a human. She had scales all over her body and she was extremely tall and lanky...she must've been over 10 feet tall.
"The name's Nithog" said the manager.
"Nithog?" asked Sasshi.
"My name is longer, but you humans couldn't pronounce it" said Nithog. "so..this is about the debt that Kouhei owns me?"
"That's right" said Arumi. "this boy right here will be the payment"
Nithog looked over at Sasshi and grinned, revealing razor-sharp teeth! It was a look of hunger, and Sasshi didn't like that look at all.
"A boy, huh?" asked Nithog. "well, he's on the skinny side, but beggars can't be choosers"
"Plus we need infomation about this place" said Arumi. "we're new here, you see"
"First time in a big city?" asked Nithog.
"You could say that..." said Arumi slyly. "Kouhei said that you can tell us anything when we pay his debt to you"
"Why, yes I can" said Nithog. "step into my office and we'll discuss things" Nithog then noticed the pills that Sasshi was holding. "You might want to take one of those pills right now" Nithog added.
"Why?" asked Arumi.
"YOU'RE GONNA EAT ME, AREN'T YA?!" cried Sasshi as he put two-and-two together. Why else would there be "anti-digestion" pills or "Instant revival" pills?
"That's how we pay off debts around here" said Nithog, smiling. "now, if you would be so kind as to step into my office..."
Sasshi tried to run for it, but was smacked several times by the fan of Arumi.
"Oh, relax will ya!" said Arumi as the three of them headed for Nithog's office. Arumi was dragging a struggling Sasshi. "just take one of the pills and you'll be fine"
"But I don't wanna be dragon food!" whined Sasshi.
Nithog, Arumi and Sasshi entered the office.
"I don't care if you take one of those pills or not" said Nithog, turning to face Sasshi. "but I AM going to eat you nevertheless"
Sasshi whimpered and looked down at the two bottle of pills he held in his hand. He sighed heavily as he decided which one of the pills to take.
