With a flash Bulma remembered a legend she'd picked up when she'd first started searching for the Dragon Balls ages ago. A legend about a girl cursed to never die and to never be liked, always searching for that one person who would stay with her for all eternity. It had only been in passing that she'd heard of it and hadn't been too interested at the time. Now it seemed perfect!
"Goku, what about a girl who you could eat as many times as you liked and would come back for more? She alone would satisfy you wouldn't she?"
Goku blinked, thinking (as much as Goku ever thought) about the prospect and smiled.
"And you know someone like this?"
"Oh yes!" Bulma lied fluidly "She'd love you Goku, though finding her will be tricky, but once you do you'd never need to go hungry ever again! For the moment I suggest you find a few cute villains to tide you over in the search and I'll help you find this girl."
"Oh thank you Bulma, oh, what's her name?"
Bulma blinked.
"Um, actually she was always secretive about that, never told me." she said hastily, not wanting to be wrong in any name she made up when... if, they ever found the cursed girl.
"Hmm, Oh I see. Um, why?"
"She is cursed to never die permanently, instead reforming but she will never be liked by anyone. She's always after someone to actually stay with her. She'll be perfect for you Goku, your need for her to eat will satisfy her and you. Besides, you like everyone so your sure to like her no matter how strong the curse is, right?"
Bulma crossed her fingers, not really knowing how the curse worked or what the girl was like in fact... or if she even existed! Even if she did she might have become a loner, shunning the outside world... maybe when she reformed she did so in an odd way... maybe a long way off like the Dragon Balls scattering after they're used? Well, cross that bridge when you come to it girl.
