“Me!” Shinji exclaimed in shock. He would have never guessed that Rei’s metamorphous from tiny cold school girl to huge sultry giant was connected to him. He figured that there had to be a very logical explanation for it, like cosmic radiation or magic. How he could be triggering Rei’s growth was a mystery to him.

“Say what?” Shinji asked, scratching his head. He wasn’t stupid, but what Ritsuko said made absolutely no sense to him what so ever. It was all gobbledygook to him. Ritsuko smirked at the confused pilot. She was immensely enjoying causing him such a headache with her scientific explanation. If he wanted it dumbed down, she’d be more then happy to oblige.

“Say What?” Shinji screamed out, his eyes bulging at Ritsuko’s hypothesis.
“Do I need to dumb it down further?” The scientist teased, knowing already that the boy understood. Shinji shook his head and sat down to mull over what Ritsuko had said. He couldn’t lie to himself and say he didn’t feel attracted to the emotionless albino, but he had always figured that it would be only one sided. Rei liking him was even crazier then Asuka having sex with him.
Asuka had emotions and needs, it was understandable that she could come to care about him, but Rei had never really shown any type of emotions as long as he knew her.
