The walls of Asuka's stomach quickly closed in on him, along with some incomprehensible German from the firey young woman's mouth accompanying the churning of the stomach. Shinji had no idea what was going on but he was starting to feel faint and dizzy, although not in any pain.
"Dumm! Wenn Sie sie so sehr lieben, sollten Sie gerade erklären ihr. Holen Sie mir Ihre dummen Phantasien nicht!"
Without a strong command of German or a nearby computer with a translator, Shinji was left wondering exactly what was coming out of Asuka's mouth. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to ponder the situation any further when he looked down and saw that the lower half of his body was gone.
"You're digesting me!?" he wondered aloud, the panic obviously visible in his voice.
"Maybe you'll think next time!" Asuka yelled back.
Shinji wasn't sure if there would even be a next time, but he quickly blacked out, left to wonder about his all-too-brief stay in the new world.

"Ugh, now where am I?"
Rubbing his head, Shinji looked around, realizing that he was still alive, and more importantly, his arms and legs were still on his body in one piece. Was that all just a really strange dream?
"How many times has it been this week Shinji? 3? 4?"
The fact that he was lying down on the floor of NERV headquarters next to a somewhat concerned Ritsuko seemed to confirm that he wasn't dead. But how did he get here.
"4?"
"Well, there was that time earlier in the week Asuka digested you, then Misato told me she did it to on Wednesday. Who was it this time?"
"Asuka," Shinji replied. "Something about going back to sleep." He purposefully kept the details vague so as not to seem out of place. The last thing he needed was to seem like he had no idea what was going on and draw suspicion. For all he knew in this world, someone might be trying to replace members of NERV with clones or something.
"You seem a bit bummed out about it. Any reason?"
"Not really," Shinji answered as he stood up and dusted himself off. "You know Asuka."
The laugh Ritsuko gave at the comment brought a smile to Shinji's face. It was typical chatter, but it was nice to see that the personalities of these two were pretty much the same, and Ritsuko at least, seemed to know what the teen had to put up with when he went home.
There were still so many questions that needed to be answered about where he was, when he was, and even what people in this universe expected of him, although judging by Asuka and Ritsuko's behavior, everyone seemed to behave the same as in the old world. He groaned slightly at the thought of that, mostly because if everyone else was normal, his father would most likely be here as well, and most likely as cold, cruel, and calculating as ever, although he prayed that would not be the case.
On the same token, while wanting to find out exactly what the hell was going on, he didn't want people to worry about him or cast suspicion upon him.
