Miroku was on his hands and knees on Kagome's hand, begging her to take him to the shrine with his one and only cure. After Miroku got himself back to normal size, he would swear to every god and goddess that he would not do preverted things ever again. Last night was a horrible experience, and the little naked monk didn't want to go through that ever again! Besides, wasn't Kagome supposed to be sweet and kind? Or did he misjudge her? Miroku had tears running down his face, and waited for Kagome's answer. All of Miroku's family had been perverts and lecherous...which is partly how he had gotten the Wind Tunnel in his right hand. His grandfather was drawn to a beautiful woman, who turned out to be the demon known as Naruku, who had cursed him with the Wind Tunnel. Every time he used the Wind Tunnel, the hole in his right hand would get a little bigger...until, one day, it might suck Miroku himself up. Miroku could activate the Wind Tunnel any time he wished, but he covered it up with prayer beads to stop everything from being pulled into his right hand. Suddenly, Miroku realized that he prayer beads that covered the Wind Tunnel had shrunk along with him. Thank god for small favors. Miroku waited to hear Kagome's answer.
"A two month trip?" asked Kagome. That meant she and Inu could still play with him for the entire trip.
"Please" said Miroku. "when I returned to my normal size, I won't do perverted things or act like a lech"
"Okay" said Kagome. "we'll take you to this shrine for your cure...in the meantime, you're going to our sextoy"
"Sextoy?" whimpered Miroku. "I swear to you, I won't ever peek at you or Inu-Yasha making love again. I'll swear off all women if I need to, just please don't make me your and Inu-Yasha's sextoy"
"That's the deal" said Kagome. "either accept it or we won't go to that shrine to get your cure"
"Alright" sighed Miroku. "it's a....deal"
By this time, the sun had peeked up and the first rays of morning came across the land. Inu-Yasha woke up and got dressed, along with Kagome. The two lovebirds then woke and told everyone what had happened to Miroku. Sango took the news as well as everybody had expected her to do...she slapped Miroku off of Kagome's hand and he landed on the grassy ground.
"Hey, I'm still alive" said Miroku, after he fell a good 50 feet (on his scale) to the ground.
"The demon that shrank you must've made you industructable" said Shippo, picking up the tiny Miroku from the ground.
"That explains why I survived last night" said Miroku with a shudder.
"A journey of two months will be no problem for us" said Sango. "since we can...."
"We decided to walk there" said Kagome.
"Why walk when you can fly?"asked Miroku, who was passed to Kagome.
"Let's go" said Inu-Yasha, who started to walk west. The rest of the group soon followed. Miroku was placed in the basket of Kagome's bicycle, which Kagome rode on.
"Which goddess are we going to see?" asked Shippo.
"Like that matters" said Inu-Yasha. "there's more goddess's than there are blades of grass in the world"
"Have you ever met one?" asked Kagome.
"Once or twice" said Inu-Yasha. "not really my thing, meeting a god or goddess, since I'm half-demon"
"The demon didn't say which goddess lives at the shrine" said Miroku.
By mid-morning, the group had made its way through a little valley, and a swampy area. Miroku had wrapped himself in a piece of paper with "M&M's" on it that was in the basket he was riding in. He also ate a piece of what looked like a big blue rock that was bigger than him. The blue rock had tasted sweet and delicious, and slightly stale.
Kagome was lost in thought. She didn't know of any shrine that was two months away in her own time. Of course, how many shrines were in Japan? 50? 100? 1,000? Kagome didn't know for sure. Maybe it was an abandoned shrine in her time. Kagome rode on.
Inu-Yasha was in front of the group, and keeping a look-out on any possible trouble. He sniffed the air. There were no demons within miles of the small group. He caught the scent of several humans up ahead...must be a village. He also caught another scent...it smelled like potions...which meant that the village probably had a shaman or a potion maker.
"When are we going to stop and have breakfast?" whined Shippo, who was in the very back of the group.
"I think we're coming up on a village" said Inu-Yasha. "we'll stop there to see if there's an inn or somewhere to have some breakfast"
Four minutes later, and they found themsleves walking into a small village. The village probably had close to 200 people living in it, and the village was on the shore of a large lake. The lake probably dried up before the modern era.
They had found a large inn in the middle of the village and entered it.
The inn, at this time, was half-full of people sitting down and having late breakfast. Kagome was carrying the tiny Miroku in her hands. The people eyed the group for a minute, and then minded thier own buiness. The group sat at a long table. A male bard was singing softly in the corner, playing a wooden flute.
