Ryoko pops up... in exactly the wrong place!

Probability is both chaotic and structured. You can calculate precisely how likely an event is down to a fraction of a percent, but it's still just a probability and still a matter of chance. Like the infinitesimal chance that a being with phasing powers... say like Ryoko... just happens to phase into reality right on top of a phasic pinch field just as it's being activated.
"Hey there Tench...EEEEEAAARRGGH!" screamed Ryoko as she faded into existence, her butt right where the hastily dropped tube had been moments before, Washu letting it go as she saw Ryoko fading in.
For several seconds Ryoko glowed, while doing a complicated dance and screaming "Get it out GET IT OUT OF ME!!!"
After about a minute she calmed down, whatever pain she seemed to have been under faded, and collapsed in a heap on the floor with a 'Whoof!' The calmness didn't last long (So what else is new with Ryoko?)
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME MOTHER?" screamed Ryoko, suddenly face to face with the scientific genius, noses almost touching.
Washu didn't even blink, though her hair was drawn back from the gale force wind from Ryoko's words.
"That's what you get for dropping in unannounced. Next time knock. Damn, now I'll have to build another one. Could take weeks!"
"Oh you... you... IRRESPONSIBLE... PERSON!" Ryoko managed lamely, still wavering a bit dizzily.
