"Can I even shrink down?" Mihoshi asked aloud. She was genuinely unsure of whether or not it was possible.

Suddenly, from the depths of her brain, it began to click. The Torn made Mihoshi grow by absorbing energy, so therefore, discharging the stored energy would make her shrink. Full discharge would return her to normal...
The mere thought of returning to her normal, weak size sent shudders through Mihoshi's spine. The lack of confidence, the constant bullying from her recently detained partner, and all of the other issues that being small would revive were too much for her to bear.
Still, it didn't have to be that way. All the energy didn't have to be discharged at once. She could discharge just enough to get to the 10-11 foot tall mark, and stay that way. And if the need to grow skyscraper size ever arised again, well, she'd just need to find an energy source.
"Can I do it in a bit?" Mihoshi asked Washu.
"How long is 'a bit'?"
"About an hour I guess."
Washu nodded. She had gotten Mihoshi to commit to shrinking down, even if it wasn't going to be right this second. Pushing the issue might increase her reluctance to shrink. "Alright," she replied, heading inside with Kiyone's unconscious body in tow, held aloft by a small antigravity beam. Ryoko, let loose from the energy bubble, floated in an opposite direction, muttering unintelligibly under her breath.
Mihoshi smiled slightly. She could live on a more manageable scale while being far from weak and helpless, but there was still one thing she wanted to do before shrinking down and heading in for dinner that only her colossal body would allow her to enjoy.
