Ryoko followed the furious Ayeka, merely letting the princess march forward to blast Mihoshi right out of the house, and their lives in the process. Tenchi was still occupied in the washroom and probably wouldn't be out for another ten minutes, while Sasami was still asleep and Washu was still in her lab. Fine with her, ten minutes was more than enough time for Ryoko to put her genius plan into action.
"Where is she?!" the enraged Ayeka yelled. Ryoko merely guided her with a few points of the finger, allowing her to find herself right by Mihoshi, who was returning to her room.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Ryoko asked. Not needing any further encouragement, Ayeka charged a bolt of energy in her hands.
"You curr, you will pay for even daring to get near Tenchi!"
As Ayeka prepared her blow, a sudden voice called Ryoko to the side. Recognizing it immediately as the voice of her overbearing genius mother, she went over.
"What are you doing here?" Ryoko hissed. "I'm doing something important!"
"I really hope it's not you trying to start a fight with a certain someone," Washu curtly replied. "Oh who am I kidding? Of course it is."
"You have no idea what I'm planning!" Ryoko snapped back.
"You just told me," Washu answered, causing Ryoko to blush a deep shade of red.
"OK fine, why should I stop Ayeka from doing what SHE planned?" Ryoko asked.
"Easy," Washu answered, her smug voice not disappearing. "I haven't figured out WHY it's happening, but I have figured out one thing that seems to be causing Mihoshi's growth."
"What's that?" Ryoko asked.
"Energy. Her body is somehow absorbing it," Washu replied before going back downstairs.
"Hey! Where are you going!"
"Back to work. I just didn't want my daughter to make an idiot out of herself...again."
"AGAIN!?" Ryoko shouted loud enough for the entire house to hear, but by that point Washu was gone. The only person left was...
"Ayeka!" Ryoko shouted, hoping to get her to stop or at least deflect the blast. If what Washu said was true, her brilliant plan was only going to make things worse. And as the door opened, with Mihoshi going outside to head for the washroom, along with the others coming out due to the scream, she had mere seconds to act on the oblivious Ayeka, who was laughing out loud as she prepared the energy bolt.
"Ayeka! Don't!"
