Annie was able to out distance the two titans that were chasing her. She ran for about thirty miles when she had reached a rather large oasis. The large oasis was perhaps just over a mile in diameter. The oasis had just ten palm trees; it was just mostly grass.
Annie had to rest. Running around in her titan form was very exhausting especially for long periods of time. While Annie had been running, Levi told Bulma a bit more about Titans and about titan shifters. Bulma was fascinated about the whole subject.
At the oasis, the three read the documents that were in the box that came with the two syringes with the "Neo-Titan" serum. The rest of the documents were clearly governmental documents and they were filled to the brim was legalize that was long-winded. There was very little information about the Neo-Titan serum other than the fact it was a new experimental serum. There was nothing to indicate just where the serum had came from.
"I'm half tempted to inject this stuff" said Annie. "see if it works on me"
"Even though you're a titan shifter already?" asked Levi.
"Will it even work?" asked Bulma.
Annie shrugged. "Unless you two wanna take 'em"
"I have no interest in becoming a genderless giant" said Bulma.
"It wouldn't be my first choice either" said Levi.
It was midday. The temperature was probably in the triple digits but it was a dry heat for the most part. There were plenty of water in the large pond of water that made up the oasis. The three stayed at the oasis for at least a hour when they started to hear stomping footsteps.
Annie, Levi and Bulma were all on alert. The three looked around to see that there were large shapes on the horizon.
"Looks like there's a group of them coming this way" said Bulma consulting the tablet device. "I can't tell how many. I just see a bunch of dots"
"Are you recovered from resting?" asked Levi to Annie.
"Barely" said Annie. "you have no idea how exhausting being a titan is"
The three waited. The incoming hoard of Titans were on an almost direct coarse towards the oasis.
The oasis included a small hill that featured a cave entrance which seemed to the source of the water. The three elected to hide away in the cave until the hoard had passed. The cave was just about big enough for the three to hide in. It wasn't much of a cave; it was basically a hole in the wall.
The three waited and waited. Sure enough the Titans were getting closer. Annie took her binoculars and went outside briefly and came back into the cave.
"There's about thirty out there," said Annie. "nearly all of them has a familiar face. One of them is Historia"
Levi tutted. "I wonder what happened in their dimension"
"Who knows?" shrugged Bulma. "the Titans could have another origin there"
"That's a very good point" said Annie.
"Were you seen?" asked Levi. Annie shook her head.
"All those Titans have stirred up a sandstorm" said Annie. "there's a ton of sand up in air. I doubt they can see much of anything"
"All we need to do is lay low until they're passed" Levi said.
"Sounds like a plan" said Bulma.
The ground began to shake as the Titans came ever nearer to the oasis. Annie decided to the safest place for the syringes would be back in the box so she placed the syringes back in the box and closed it.
"Pony Canyon!!!" yelled a voice from outside.
There was a tremendous crash and the ground shook more than usual. Annie was in the act of closing the box when the crash happened. The crash made the box slip out of the grasp of Annie and it went right into the water. As luck would have it, two of the syringes bounced out of the box. One of the syringes landed on the floor of the cave and the other ended up in Annie's hand who had insnictly grabbed the syringe before it had landed on the floor.
"What was that?" asked Bulma. "that sounded like that Mt. Lady"
Annie peeked out of the cave, syringe still in her hand.
"Yep" said Annie. "it's that woman fighting off the Titans"
"And they're attacking her?" asked Levi.
"Looks like" said Annie.
Mt. Lady emerged from the sandstorm backside first. It was clear that she had received a rather vicious attack by a titan. Mt. Lady fell to the ground which caused a miniature earthquake that caused Annie to loose her footing. Annie managed not to fall over but just barely. As she was trying to maintain her balance, Annie was knocked to the ground by a titan that fell on Mt. Lady. As Annie fell to the ground, the syringe ended up piercing her leg on the thigh.
"Oh, damn it!" cried out Annie.
Mt. Lady had landed right in the pond of water. Her splashing into the pond caused all the water in the pond to flood the surrounding area. The head of Mt. Lady almost landed right on top of Annie.
Annie was in the act of pulling the syringe from her thigh when a titan entered the oasis from the dust cloud. The titan that had landed on top of Mt. Lady was able to grab Annie, which caused the syringe to empty its contents into Annie.
Almost instantly a yellow light appeared inside of Annie's mouth and eyes. Yellow lightning filled the area along with a tremendous amount of titan steam. Annie yelped with total surprise as she disappeared from sight due to the steam and lighting. The titan that had grabbed Annie had caught fire from the steam. The ground would've caught fire as well but it was soaked in water at the moment.
"Get off of me!" yelled Mt. Lady, throwing the titan on fire off of her.
There came an unearthly scream that filled the air, coming from Annie supposedly. It was a titan's scream.
"What happened?" asked Mt. Lady.
It took several minutes for the steam to clear. When it finally did clear, Annie was standing there but she looked radically different.
Annie did resemble her titan self but there were changes; her head looked more like her human self with sections of exposed muscles. In fact, Annie's figure had changed more into her human self that had exposed muscles. Annie did have sexual organs; her breasts had nipples and she did have a vagina. Annie now stood at near 500 feet tall.
"What in the hell?" asked Annie in perfectly understood speech. She then examined her new body in wonder.
"Annie?" asked Levi.
"I'm not in the titan," said Annie her voice bewildered. "I'm not in the titan. I feel like I'm actually this tall. Oh wow... this is weird"
The stomping footsteps had stopped when Annie had screamed earlier. Annie didn't even bother to cover up as she continued to look confused.
"Um, is it just me," said Bulma. "or are her eyes different?"
"A new form of titan..." mumbled Levi.
The sandstorm that had been surrounding the oasis was slowly vanishing due to the titans not moving. It was unclear as to why the Titans had stopped moving for several tense minutes that lasted a small eternity.
At length the sandstorm had vanished completely to reveal that the thirty Titans were on their knees.
"Um, okay....." said Annie, totally unnerved by this. "why are they bowing?"
It's like they're worshipping her thought Levi as he examined the situation.
