"Can someone please explain what these homunculi are?" asked Roach.
"They're artificial people made by alchemy" said Edward. "If you somehow infuse a human with a Philosopher's Stone they become a nigh unstoppable monsters"
"We're still human" said Lust. Her voice was that of someone much older than Winry. "What kills a human will probably kill us. However, we homunculi are more strudy"
"They have multiple lives thanks to the Philosopher's Stone at their core" said Edward who grimaced as he continued to talk, "You make a Philosopher's Stone by sacrifing human lives"
Roach looked at Lust, to Greed and then at Riza who was still feasting on the dead body of Captain Elliott. "Fascinating. So....these homunculi have personalities on their own? A controlling personality from what I guess"
"Yeah" said Greed. "this body of mine, for instance, doesn't belong to me but to a prince from Xing"
"And your body" said Roach, pointing at Winry. "Belongs to someone called Winry" Lust nodded.
Roach considered a moment. "Then why does Riza here seems to have full control of her own body and not a different personality?"
Riza looked up from her feeding. Blood was all over her mouth and her chin. It looked like she had been chewing on a bone moments earlier. The bone, which was a rib, had a huge bite mark on it but not teeth marks.
"It does have a personality...or rather, a semblance of one" said Riza. "All it wants is to eat and doesn't care that much who controls my body. I would hazard a guess that if I let it take control of my body, it would eat everyone in this room".
Riza grimaced before continuing her meal. " I prefer eating living people but this isn't all that bad"
Edward looked nauseated. "Lieutenant, don't tell me that you're getting used to eating people?!"
"This has changed me, Ed" said Riza looking up again from her meal. "I might not like it but I'm growing to like it. That disturbs me far more than it does you, believe me, but I just can't ignore it now. It's what I am now. All that I can do is accept it"
Riza returned to her meal. A long silence fell in the room.
"Just how many humans does it take to create one of these Philosopher's Stones?" asked Roach. It seemed as though as Roach had been thinking out loud for he slapped his hands over his mouth and looked disgusted at himself.
"The bare minimum to create a Stone is by sacrifing fifteen people" said Edward in a hollow voice. Lust looked sharply at Edward.
"How do you know that?" asked Lust.
"It was in Marcoh's research" said Edward.
"But the library burnt down" said Lust, looking perplexed.
"We managed to find a copy" said Edward, which was true from a certain point of view but he wasn't going to reveal the real truth.
"Does it really matter how Edward found that little tidbit?" asked Greed. "The kid is resourceful if nothing else"
Lust regarded that for a silent moment. "I suppose it doesn't at this stage"
"These homunculi are named after the seven deadly sins..." said Roach rubbing his chin thoughtfully. He added in a much softer voice barely above a whisper, "I don't get why lust is one of the sins though..."
"What are you muttering about?" asked Darius.
"Did I say that out loud?!" asked Roach. "Sorry....I have a habit of talking to myself"
"Lust wasn't always a sin" said Lust. "And neither was gluttony for that matter. In fact, both were celebrated at one point of another..."
"Let's change the subject" said Edward looking slightly uncomfortable. "Are you staying, Winry?"
"My name is Lust, Ed" replied Lust.
"You can always give her a nickname" said Greed. "How about " Lustry" ? How does that sound? "
"For the moment, I'm staying" said Lust. "I need a rest. I've been up nearly 48 hours"
"48 hours?!" asked Roach.
"I've been a busy little bee" said Lust. "You see, we're shorthanded on homunculi. What ever happened to Envy?"
"I ate him" said Riza standing up. She was finished with her meal. There was nothing left of Captain Elliott save for a few drops of blood. Riza wiped the blood and gore from her mouth and chin.
"You ate him?" asked Lust, her eyes wide.
Riza shifted her appearance to Envy. "I did. He was annoying me so I had little choice but to devour him. He was quite tasty"
"So you betrayed Father just like Greed here" said Lust.
"I joined him" said Riza, shifting back to her regular body. "I would much rather work with Greed than with the rest of you"
Lust sighed. "Be it on your own head, then. I don't care. I'm getting some sleep"
Lust left the room. Edward couldn't help but stare at Winry's hips as they swung back and forth.
Back and forth.....
Back and forth.....
Back and....
"Edward!" yelled Riza. It sounded like she had repeatedly said Edward's name to get his attention but had failed. Edward snapped out of it and turned to face Riza and the others.
"Yeah?" replied Edward.
"I was saying it was about time to tell all of you what Father is planning" said Greed who looked amused at Edward with a knowing look.
"That's a good idea" said Edward, clearing his throat unnecessarily loudly.
"Before I start" said Greed. "I should tell you that I don't know every facet of the plan. All I know is the general idea, not all the little details"
Edward nodded. And then, Greed told the assembled people in the room what Father was planning.
It took several minutes after Greed told them all what Father was planning on doing the following spring for anyone to talk.
"Is that even possible?" Edward finally asked, his mouth agape.
"Even I'm not sure" said Greed. "But the old man is confident about it. He's been planning on this for hundreds of years. I plan to push him out of the way at the last minute and absorb all that power"
"You?!" asked Riza.
"Would you rather him do it instead?" asked Greed. "I suppose you could do it if you were so inclined"
"I don't want to be.....a god" said Riza.
"If you keep eating the other homunculi, you would be a god" said Greed. "Albeit a low-tiered one. This one is for the whole kit and kamboddle. You would be all-powerfull"
"In theory" said Riza. "There's no proof that Father can do that or that it will happen the way it says it's going too"
"We need to spread the word about this" said Heinkel. Darius nodded.
Edward was already heading for the phone. "I know just the person to tell this too"

Winry was surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of screams and shouts. There was no way to make sense of all the cries that was heard. It was just noise at this point. All noise. It was simply a sensory overload. Somehow, Winry had maintained her sense of self.
It hadn't been easy to be certain but Winry managed to hold her sense of inviuduslity through everything she had been through.
Winry was sitting right in the center of souls that sought to overwhelm her. She had her eyes closed as she conastrsted on taking her body back from the controlling personality known as Lust.
"I'm not just a personality, Winry"
Winry opened her eyes to see a huge monstrous face poking out from the ocean of souls that surrounded her.
"I am lust incarnate. I'm made from all the lustful souls that are in my heart. I desire love and sex, sex, sex. For power and everything. I lust for everything"
"I know that well" said Winry. "I can feel all that lust"
"All that lust was directed at Edward" said Lust. "You wanted to rip his clothes off and have your way with him"
Winry blushed and looked away. Lust merely cackled.
"Give into temptation, Winry" said Lust in a sultry voice.
