"Wait, why do you get to tell the story?" Rangiku interrupted.

"What?"

"You don't make it interesting enough. Plus, I was there too."

"What do you mean 'interesting'? I'm here to tell them what happened to Soul Society, not entertain them!"

Chad looked on, his worry lessened slightly. For the most part, the pair seemed capable of rational thought and speech, but that wasn't a guarantee of anything. Ichigo and Orihime seemed to alternate between normal and lust-driven, without any warning as to what would set them off. Still, if they were relaxed enough to relay the events, it would do the group well to listen. Well, everyone except Keigo, who was predictably focused on the truck-sized breasts of Rangiku.

"Ok, why don't we just both tell them then? That way, no one gets mad."

"Fine."

Two days earlier

Masumoto ran back towards the source of the noise as quickly as she could, recognizing it as Hitsugaya's office. She had been out running errands beforehand when the loud noise of what appeared to be bombs went off all over the fortress. As soon as she got there, the sound of an adjutant barking orders could be heard.

"I want this room sealed off! We don't know what's in there! Where's the HAZMAT team? They were supposed to show up as soon as we called for them?"

She recognized the man as a recent graduate from the academy into the 10th division, one who's name escaped her, mostly because he was so stiff, formal, and rigid that getting a response besides "Yes ma'am!" or "No ma'am" was impossible.

"Adjutant! What's going on!"

"Lieutenant!" the flustered Shiginami shouted, soon assuming a salute. "There was a package sent to various offices in the fortress, and..."

"At ease, adjutant," Rangiku interrupted with a groan. "What happened, and where's Captain Hitsugaya?"

"Well ma'am, the captain was inside his office, when a package arrived. Two minutes later, gas entered the room from the package. We're not sure, but the entire squad is operating on the assumption that it's a terrorist weapon."

"And Captain Hitsugaya?"

"The captain is still inside the office. We're not going in until HAZMA..."

"You idiot!" Before the flustered adjutant could finish his speech, he was pushed aside by Rangiku as she ran inside the office. A thick mist impeded her vision slightly, filling her mouth and nostrils, but otherwise did nothing to slow her progress. The sight in front of her made her gasp.

"Captain?! You're still..."

"Still what?" Hitsugaya asked, as he was still sitting at his desk, organizing several books worth of flies for Squad 10, a small black orb placed to the side. "What is this thing? It sprayed water into my office and got all the files wet, then that new recruit sealed off my room! Is this a joke?"

"They thought it was a terrorist attack," Rangiku replied with a sigh. Hitsugaya shook his head.

"I'm going to have a firm talking with..."

Hitsugaya's words soon fell dead as the young man looked up at his lieutenant, noticing things that he had never bothered to pay attention to before. Mostly the things that Rangiku had been trying to show to everyone this whole time, but he had been too busy to appreciate.

No, she was his subordiante! He couldn't think such things! Plus all the paperwork...

"Lieutenant, I need to get this work done. I'll be in my quarters. You take care of that adjutant for me. Whatever this thing was, it's obviously harmless, so get it removed as quickly as possible."

"But..."

"That's an order Lieutenant!"

Later that evening

"And so the sighting was simply a boob..."

That was the seventh time he had accidentally written something about the female anatomy in his report. In a single minute. Going to his quarters to finish his work had done Hitsugaya little good. Why was he suddenly thinking about Rangiku that way? And why was the only thing he could think about right now bedding his busty subordinate? It was immoral, it was against every single regulation in the book...

It was making him ready to explode. Whatever it was, he needed to take care of it immediately. He stood up, actually ready to abandon the paperwork in front of him, when a loud knock came from the door.
