Deciding that being around giants focused on nothing but growing was a bad idea, the group instead opted to run away. The one advantage they had was that the giants would not easily notice them. But before they got far they found a welcome sight: someone normal, well at least in hight.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi who was surrounded by an amount of equipment that was constantly adjusting, also what appeared to be a telescope was pointed in the direction they had just come from and similar were set up facing other directions. Nemu was also present, rapidly taking notes as directions were called out to her. Apparently amidst all the destruction he had found nothing better to do then research the giants to every detail that he could.
Chad was the only one to recognize the man, although the rest of the group was a bit off-put just from his appearance. Tatsuki however was brave enough to try and not look intimidating. "Sir, can you tell us anything that is going on?"
Mayuri looked up briefly before scoffing and going back to his research. "I don't have time for you now. If you want to volunteer as research subjects come back later."
"We don't want to be research subjects!"
"Then don't waste my time. I have to finish my investigation."
"Don't you have any idea what caused this?"
"Of course I do, but I don't have time to waste on trivial things like that. Why don't you go ask someone from the 4th division? They always have more concern for unimportant things. Nemu, don't you dare slack off write this down intimidate 2.91 meters to the arm attachment 9.86 meters in length for the remainder." Mayuri quickly went back to one of his telescopes and constantly adjusting it.
Seeing an opportunity Tatsuki approached Nemu hoping the women would provide more information. "Excuse me, Ms. Nemu could you please tell us where we could find the 4th division?"
Nemu glanced over her shoulder to see that Mayuri was distracted. Deciding it was safe enough she pointed in the direction of soul society's nearest outpost where most of the 4th division would currently be. Tatsuki bowed and said "Thank you." Nemu returned a quick smile then went back to her work.
The group of humans quickly made there way to the outpost where things were of course, completely crazy. Members of the 4th division were running around treating the injured, others were panicking that the giants would be coming at any minute, and other such panic filled the area.
They approached the women that seemed to be giving orders in the area, she was recognized by Chad who called her "Isane Kotetsu." Looking over at the sound of her name Isane recognized Chad.
"What's going on? You couldn't have picked a worse time to visit soul society, we are under attack." She said with a look of grave concern, while checking everyone in the group over for injuries.
"We were looking for answers about giants in our world. We hopped that soul society would have some answers."
"I see, so this has spread? That is most disturbing. As for what happened we have only assembled the sketchiest of details. It seems that Gin Ichimaru is the source of this mischief. Before he left soul society with Aizen he found some sealed and forbidden objects which he put in the medical facilities so they would be used if we survived Aizen's initial assault. What appeared to be a normal vaccine ended up creating at least 3 pairs of giants that we know of."
