Walking outside the Hyuga mansion with little to comfort them and even less to provide a coherent plan, the three quietley began their trip to the Hokage's mansion, hoping that they wouldn't be interrupted.
Those hopes were dashed in three steps when the form of Kurenai Yuhi appeared in front of them.
"Wonderful," Naruto groaned. "Another jonin."
Keiji's heart sank at the mention of the word jonin. He had hoped to be able to sink into a shadow somewhere, away from Kakashi and his idiot student, but not with a jonin in front of him. He had a better chance of sitting in the fetal position and begging for mercy than to expecting to be able to hide successfully. Fumbling around his jacket, the overwhelmed psychatrist began fumbling around for the one thing he knew could help.
"Keiji, no!" Kakashi yelled, but it was too late. He had thrown one the explosives from the Hokage's office directly at Yuhi, only to see it countered by a shuriken. The blast blinded everyone in range, but did nothing to the jonin.
"You idiot," Kakashi replied. "Now everyone will know Naruto is here."
"Everyone except us," Keiji replied as he noticed the young boy was gone. Yuhi, quickly noticing this as well, prepared to give chase, but was cut off by Kakashi.
"I'm getting to the bottom of this one way or the other," he began to Yuhi. "Now, why Naruto?"

The explosion and the sight of a jonin was the perfect distraction for an imperfect situation. Naruto ran and ran, hoping to escape his target, but was unsure of exactly how far he could get before yet another stalker took him. The lack of explanation, the sheer number and skill of his opponents, the fact that they wanted to eat him like a bowl of ramen...the fact that he hadn't had his precious ramen for nearly half a day now.
All he could do was run, hoping to outdistance his adversaries. And run he did, until something caught his eye, something that compelled him to stop dead in his tracks, disregarding whoever may have been nearby.
