You are Harry. Voldemort went after Neville instead of Harry, but only managed to kill Neville's grandmother and mother, but making Neville the Boy who lived. Bellatrix cursed Lily into insanity, leaving only James. James goes into depression, making no parent want their child around you, which makes you socially awkward, insecure, eager to please, short and scrawny from not playing outside with other kids. James recently got out of his depression thanks to Sirius and Remus when you were 10, but the damage was done. You realized you were shrinking right before Hogwarts started when you measured two inches shorter, making your already short height go from 4'7 to 4'5.
You and James apparated to King Cross Station, James having to immediately apparate back home to prepare for his auror work. You were left to find your way to Platform 9- and-three-quarters. You noticed everyone looked a bit taller than usual, and it scared you. You planned to keep this shrinking business a secret, as long as it doesn't happen again, but if it did, you would probably tell a professor or your father. When you reached the platform, you saw a group of redheads who you recognized as the weasley family. Their youngest son, Ron was your age, but very tall. He measured at around 5'1, easily towering over your small frame. The family quickly runs through the magical pillar and you soon follow suit.
When you got out of the pillar, who saw the best looking train you've seen in your life. You quickly give your baggage to the elves and find an empty compartment for yourself. You look outside the compartment window and see kids mingling with one another and having fun. You look at them wistfully, and pray that you can make friends this year. You are lost in your thoughts when you hear the last whistle for the trains departure. Suddenly your compartment door opens to reveal Ron Weasley and another boy next to him, who you recognized as the boy who lived. Your eyes widen in shock at having the boy who lived in front of you, he seemed to be around 5'2. "Hey mate, we were busy playing tag outside the train" Ron begins as you notice some sweat on both of them, "So we forgot to find ourselves a compartment, and all of them are now full, so could we —" You quickly interrupt him, already knowing what he was going to say, "of course you can" you practically shout, your eagerness to make friends, and social awkwardness showing. They give you an odd look before they proceed to enter. As they enter, Ron unknowingly steps on your foot, his completely engulfing yours and causing you immense pain. However, you don't say anything so you don't weird them out. Neville ends up sitting at the end of the same seat as you, and Ron sits directly across from you. "I'm Neville, and this is Ron", Neville says to you as the train starts moving. Just as you were about to introduce yourself, Ron takes off his shoes, letting the smell of his feet spread in the small compartment, his sock had a hole so his entire big toe was visible. You quickly get over it and as you are about to introduce yourself again, Neville takes off his shoes, letting the smell of his feet out into the compartment. The smell of their feet has silenced you twice now, and you feel timid about introducing yourself to them now. They do not seem to notice the effect of them taking off their shoes had on your confidence, and they proceed to talk amongst themselves, totally ignoring you. You start to pay attention to their feet, and you notice that their socks seemed to be very damp, probably from them playing tag earlier. Their foot stench was making you uncomfortable and with every toe wiggle, more of the cheesy smell wafted out. You have a very acute sense of smell and taste, Uncle Sirius used to joke about you being a future chef. So even though the smell of their sweaty feet was making you uncomfortable, you say nothing in fear of losing their interest in being friends with you.
