Well, at least you won't be alone to grief about your state. Your husband will be there also.
And, much to your surprise, you hear the front door opening...
"Honey, I am home!" you hear your husband, he sounds too cheerful.
You don't have much time to prepare when he comes to the kitchen. At first, he doesn't notice you, but a slight cough, and he turns towards you.
He is definitely shocked to see you almost knee-high... You, however, too look at him with disguised awe. Prior to this, the only reminder that you are slowly shrinking is newfound obstacles and bigger doors, but right now you realise that you are small. And yet, you are getting smaller and smaller.
"M-m-martha?!" he exclaims loudly and gets down closer to you. "What happened to you?!"
You tell him the truth that you are going to shrink till you are microscopic. You omit that you may die long time before this because world isn't a nice place for small people, as they say.
"Wow..." he says and in shock he sits right on the floor, his head still at higher level than you. "I just... I don't know..." he starts quietly, but then...
