Off To Stay With Your Aunty Tiny Way to Die chapter 5 by copier · original author: fearboy

“You’ll be staying with your Aunt Kate until we get back Pete. I know how much you like her and she agreed to look after you anytime.” You smile at your dad as he tells you where you’ll be staying while he is out of town with your mom. You did like your Aunt Kate, back when you were ten and a lot of the things she did seemed awesome and funny. Your aunt is kind of a shut in, living off junk food and not taking care of herself at all. For as long as you've known her she has been fat with a very bad smell from either lack of bathing or personal care. You thought she was the greatest when you were a kid and she let you eat cake and fast food all the time whenever you were with her, but you're not that little kid anymore. You remember back when she babysat you, she would always joke around, farting and belching around you and being just crude in ways you thought back then were great. Now, if she tries to fart on your face and asks you if you can tell what she’s eaten you’re a lot less likely to find it funny.

You decided to stop worrying about it. You haven’t seen your aunt in years, maybe she’s matured. You spend the evening with your family, enjoying this time together before your all separated. Even your sister acts nice, joining in a movie and board game as you all just try to forget what’s wrong with you. It’s the best night you’ve had in a while and when you go to bed, you get a nice, restful sleep and are able to pretend nothing is wrong.

The next day was tears and hugging, mostly from your mom. You say your goodbyes, promising to call if you shrink, even if it’s only an inch. Your dad drives you to your aunt’s apartment, dropping you off at her front door. “You sure you’ll be okay?” He asks you before he leaves. Him and Aunt Kate don’t get along to well, something going back years ago that he never talks about. “I’ll be fine,” you assure him, even if you have nagging doubts that the woman that never left her apartment and lived off take out could take care of you. He leaves after a final hug and you knock on your aunt’s door. It opens and you take in the sight of your Aunt Kate, your caretaker for the next two weeks.
