It’s three in the morning and you are wide-awake. You lie between your huge parents, eyes wide and your heart beating like a drum. You can’t sleep no matter how hard you try, every time you close your eyes terrible thoughts over comes you. What if you shrink the second you close your eyes? What if one of your parents rolls over? What if you never wake up after falling asleep? All these questions race through your tired mind and you find yourself looking around. With the moonlight seeping in through the partially opened blinds, you can see somewhat in the dark. Your parents form a wall around you, taking up nearly all your line of sight. You look between their sleeping faces, noticing how strange it is to see them from such a tiny perspective. Every feature seems more visible, like the wrinkles on your mom’s forehead or your dad’s mustache. As you continue to shrink, these things will probably become more and more noticeable. Pretty soon, your mom’s eyelashes will seem like tree branches and your dad’s lower lip will be a blimp.
How much different would the world look from the perspective of a bug? Would the people you know seem like gods or would they just look like really huge, really imposing people. At only half your original height, you feel insignificant when one of these giants lifts you up. You can only imagine how it would feel like to be small enough to fit into their hands. The marvels you’ll see at that size would be incredible, maybe even more then the terror you'd feel. That thought gives you a little bit of hope for your short future. Before you die, the world will be revealed to you in a viewpoint no other human has. You will be able to walk a person’s body like it was a mountain, see grass the size of trees, and view people as godlike beings that disappear into the sky.
You can almost picture how people would look from the ground, towering behemoths that you can look up at like tall buildings. You’d certainly like to see some of the girls from your school from down below, you’re not ignorant of the perverted implications of your illness. Peeking on women would be so easy at only a few inches. You could hide out in the lockers inside the woman’s change room and see girls undress. You’d also have the perfect viewpoint to see up any girl’s skirt. There were lots of perverted things you could do, but sadly, you were stuck with your family. Still you can always fantasize, but as you do, a rising problem occurs.
“Crap,” you murmur and look at your erection. All these nasty thoughts have made the blood pump to your lower extremities. You pull up the sheets and look at yourself. Of all the stupid times to have wood, this would have to be the worst. It’s the fault of all the hormones inside you, confusing you and trying to make a death sentence sound nice. Taking a few calmly breaths, you try to ease your erection down so you can go back to looking at the ceiling. Something shifts beside you and everything freezes. You beg the same God that gave you the shrinking illness to let your sleeping parents remain asleep. You don’t want to be caught with a hard on by either one of them. You hold your breath and close your eyes, hearing the sheets shuffling and someone turn over, seems God isn’t on your side.
Their eyes drill into you, making you wish you were small enough that they wouldn’t notice the thing between your legs. Slowly, you open your eyes to look into the fully conscious and very alert face of one of your parents.
